Walmart Supercenter

No road trip is complete without a visit to Walmart supercenter! Stopped in for a few quick items but also took a lap around the store. Saw a kazbar never tried that before so decided to purchase it. Was pretty good, the caramel inside of it was actually crunchy so it was pretty tasty. It's nice that you sell Sasquatch soap now, saves on shipping and handling when ordering online. Thank you for being open and having plenty of employees on hand!

Clean. Handicapped parking and building access. Very clean and well stocked isles. Prices on eggs are coming down 20 cents. Very fast checkout. Yep. I used a human being to do that. Nice parking lot also. No riff raff hanging outside.

They have everything you need. 2 miles from downtown Galena. Only Walmart close to Galena. I would recommend going here for all your goodies. Travel photographer from Galena

The staff is friendly, the pharmacy was fast getting my prescription ready and they don’t harass you at the door like the other Walmarts in the area.

This Walmart has the selection I need for groceries, home, garden, pharmacy and alcohol. It is not a large Walmart, but generally it's good enough for most shopping trips. Ordering online and during the pickup process is so easy and saves so much time. For inperson shopping parking is plentiful and it is easy to get in and out of the store. The staff at the pharmacy have always been very helpful, and friendly; they got me set up with a new account where I can receive text updates when my prescription is ready.

Wonderful apple pie, and plentiful ground turkey. No complaints, Walmart is always great

Surprisingly helpful staff compared to other walmarts I've been to ( a lot ). The store and bathrooms are also kept extremely clean especially compared to the dubuque store. They may not have everything you need with it being a smaller store but would definitely recommend over any in the area

People can say all the want to about Walmart. The bottom line is this..... we all shop there. We all enjoy the low prices, the selection, the easy returns. We should all be NICER to our local Walmart employees. There's constant leadership changes, the CEO gets all the money and the associates have to put up with the brunt of the hardships. Our Freeport store has some of the most dedicated and THE NICEST employees around!! I for one, am thankful for our store. They were on the front lines during Covid, kept us safe, and stayed open. We all had what we needed. I'm not a fan of the higher up people, but the REAL WORKERS, have my thanks, appreciation and respect.
This goes for all Walmart workers. You don't know unless you've worked in customer service and the service industry.

Galena, IL store. Employees were helpful and very gracious. Even though the young lady was stocking Halloween she made it a point to ask when passing the aisle I was in if I did in fact find the item I was looking for. Masks required. They are keeping count of the number of customers in the store. I appreciated both as it's for my safety.

This Wal-Mart actually had a real person at a register!!! Unheard of here in Iowa after a certain time of night. Had to stop to grab something warmer to wear than what I had on. Nice friendly staff. Made my 4 hour drive back home much better after my purchase!! So thank you late night Galena Illinois staff for your kindnesses!!!

Nice little store for the Galena area! We needed some supplies on our way to Dubuque for the bike like a chain and stuff! They had what we needed! Then on the way back home we needed stuff for the hotel we stayed at in Galena like shampoo it was about a half mile away and found everything we needed for the night and in the morning! So glad it was there!!!

I'm not the biggest fan of Walmart in general, and this one is pretty small, but for a small town with a large tourist population it gets the job done. Seasonal items sell out quickly and the checkout system is a nightmare, but I think that is systemic for Walmart across the board.
