1st Place Sports Running: 210

We were in town for the week doing a lot of walking so I finally decided to see what the fuss was all about with OC and Hoka. They were the only store nearby that sold these brands. What I did not expect was the amazing level of help and guidance we received. Steve took nearly an hour to help me find the best fit and educate us on the differences. We ended up spending a good bit with him and couldn’t be happier with our purchases. We would absolutely recommend this location to anyone, they were simply amazing!

Their customer service is unmatched! They take a lot of time assessing your needs. The computer that maps out your foot shape and where the pressure points on the foot are is so interesting and really takes finding the perfect shoe to a next level. The staff are all very helpful and take their time helping you find a perfect shoe!

I will never by my athletic shoes anywhere else!

Dana was very patient and knowledgeable. She helped me to get the best sneakers for walking. Also a great pair of sneakers for my husband. The inserts we got for the shoes are giving us better balance. Our podiatrist recommended this store and we are very grateful to him.

Popped in 30 mins before they closed and left a very happy camper!

Dana checked our gates, helped us get the right inserts and assisted my partner in finding the right running shoes. She even threw in some form suggestions.

I really wanted some new race shoes. Called 1st Place Sports, they ordered the shoes I needed and had them delivered to the store closest to where I live. Two days later I ran a fast race!! Great staff and quick response to my shoe needs!!

Very knowledgeable staff. Will go the extra mile to help you find the shoe you’re looking for. We purchased a pair of shoes in store and had to get another one online. No issues with either process. Got the online shoes within a few days.

I had such an amazing experience at this location. I’m getting into running and I was doing the online research thing. I decided to go into a Hoka authorized retailer to get some additional help and I actually got just that. The representative Steve sized my foot, checked my footing and even had me jog on a treadmill where he filmed and assessed my natural foot position . We found the right shoe, the right size, the right Cushion and Support for me to start out with. I couldn’t be any happier. If I would have ordered them online, I would have been way off with everything. Even my size was a down a full size, the width was wider than normal. These things matter when you’re running for distance. This is why we will always needs humans and brick and mortar locations!

Went in today to get my daughter and wife fitted for some shoes! Everyone there was fantastic.... we walked out with the perfect fit and registered for some races! Check out 1st Place Sports if you need the right shoe for you!

This was the best experience at a store like this I've ever had. My girlfriend, a couple friends of mine, and I went for one of their weekly runs at the store.

I got there a bit early and had the opportunity to meet Chris who was working at the store this particular evening. He really set the tone for the entire visit at the store. Super knowledgeable but also Just a genuinely goot guy.

He educated Me on a few different topics and helped me pick out an awesome pair of running shoes before my run even started. There was a friendly and familiar environment and Chris greeted nearly everyone by their names as they came in the door.

The store is great but it was Chris who made the whole experience next level. I wasn't sold anything I just had the opportunity to learn and make the best purchase possible.

Thanks Dana for talking me into the Hokas. My feet love you now! I didn't think this hunky shoe was my thing, but it definitely is. Never would have considered trying without your advice.

May become a part time Hoka model (is that a thing?). See you all again real soon!

We were on vacation from out of state and had the time to shoe shop one day. I googled local running shoe stores, saw this was just a few minutes away from where we were staying and had amazing reviews. We were not disappointed! Great service, beautiful store, and very happy we were able to get the advice and purchases needed to start cross country when we returned home.

Beautiful new store. Friendly staff. Reluctant to leave my beloved Saucony brand, Chris spent about 30 minutes with me and I tried on 8 different pairs of shoes and ended up in Brooks! He was knowledgeable about different brands, and models and how to fit me for exactly what I needed. The store is clean, organized and has a great selection of apparel, shoes and more. He invited me to their group runs too! Definitely will return!

Don't hesitate to visit this new 1st Place Sports location! We were visiting the area after running the Gate River Run, and I went to the store with an intent to try different running shoes. I've been running in the same brand and type for years but have always just guessed about what shoes work best for me. When you do visit, you will be in great hands if Becca is working! After a video analysis of my running gait on the treadmill, she was very knowledgeable in an explanation of why a particular type of running shoe would work best for me. After trying many different brands we found what feels like a perfect fit! She was also very knowledgeable about each pair of shoes and described in clear detail how each were designed, including benefits of each. I experienced absolutely no sales pressure but walked out of the store with more than just the shoes I came for, which is really an indication of working with an incredible staff member. My wife also enjoyed browsing (and buying) their selection of running clothes. I'm looking forward to putting some miles in my new shoes and am confident that I will greatly benefit from my visit to this new 1st Place Running location!

Chris was very helpful and really paid attention to what I was needing for shoes. I am not a runner but that didn’t matter. He still made sure I got the best fit for my walking shoes. This is a store for anyone who wants knowledge friendly help while getting quality shoes. There is no pressure and you are not just a number. You are a customer for life.

We were thrilled to find this store that actually sells Altra shoes! Chris, Nicole, and Tim were very helpful in giving us needed information and finding the proper Altra shoes. Nicole ordered the correct size from a different location and days later Tim fit me in the proper size. Chris helped with information about needed electrolytes to combat heat exhaustion. Thank you to them for their expertise!
