Our favorite winery in a recent girls trip. It was a stop on the wine tour (amazing live music) and we went back the next day for more wine and some karaoke fun!! Views are amazing! The owner and staff were amazing. Wine was excellent!! Can’t wait to go back!

Choosing The Cottage Vineyard & Winery for its pet-friendly policy in open areas proved to be a delightful decision. The wine tasting experience, offering a selection of five varieties from their diverse options, allowed us as a couple to savor a total of ten different kinds by sharing glasses.

While individual preferences play a role in wine appreciation, we found the experience enjoyable and would certainly return. The winery boasts unique options, particularly in their sweet section. Our furry friend was warmly welcomed on the terrace, providing us with an outstanding view of the mountains.

For those in the vicinity, including this winery in your itinerary is a must for a well-rounded and pet-friendly wine-tasting experience.

The view! 😍 Only visitors there on a Monday afternoon during off season - but I can image how busy this winery can be. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Shared a bottle of wine with my wife inside the tasting room.

Would recommend adding them to your tour of area wineries.

This was apart of a wine tour we participated in. The spot was cute and can accomodate larger groups. The views are great - I really enjoyed their outdoor space. The wine was nice with good sizes for sampling. I'd recommend stopping if you are in the area.

Views and spaces in the winery are 6 out of 5. The quality/taste of the wine was 3 out of 5 with a very earthy / dirty taste. Worth going but there is better wine at other wineries.

I recently established my business in Cleveland, and haven’t had a chance to explore the area quite yet. I stopped by the Cottage and did my very first official wine tasting! The service was absolutely amazing and the wines were jaw droppingly good. I’m not even a wine person, and I walked out with a bottle (that’s already gone!). Such beautiful views, very clean facilities, great people, and amazing wine. Highly recommend! Very beginner friendly

Went here for my birthday during a trip to Helen. Had no idea what to expect. It was very nicely decorated and the live music wasn’t too overwhelming that you couldn’t hear yourself talk. Our server was Dee and she was fantastic! Turns out she was from the same area we were so we had lots to talk about! The wines were delicious so much so I had to take one home with me! They were also nice enough to give me a birthday slushee! It was raining when we went but the outdoor seating area was still beautiful and the view was great through the clouds! Would highly recommend!

We have done 6 wineries in this area.. This one is HANDS DOWN THE BEST. The view is out of this world.. a beautiful huge deck over looking the mountains. Our wine was incredible, but the best part was the owner Steve. He was so welcoming! We loved talking and getting to know more about the winery and the exciting plans they have. Thank you for the best day of our trip!

Great place to go see a great view and entertainment. They had live music while we were here and heaters out on the patio for the chill fall air. High recommend the wines: sunset and Baby doll legs! Baby doll legs was very different than any wine I’ve tried before with hints of pink lemonade.

We were visiting Helen, GA and everyone suggested this winery. They were not wrong! This place is beautiful! The wine tastes amazing and the service is so friendly! This place is a must see if you are ever in the area.

We visited with a tour group. The Cottage Vineyard & Winery was our first stop and it did not disappoint! The winery and surrounding area are just breathtaking! You can pick your tastings to your preference so if you like white wine and can get all white/rose wine or all red or a mixture. Beautiful seating indoor or out and very clean restrooms!

On our recent trip to the area, our group (4 adults) visited many wineries and The Cottage was a particular highlight. Not only did we enjoy all of the wines on our customizeable flight, guided by our knowledgable and fun sommelier, James; but we also enjoyed the lovely venue and ambience.
A wine tour had beaten us to the tasting room but we still enjoyed a personal and attentive tasting with James who shared fascinating wine & vineyard factoids, both local and more expansive.
The grounds are gorgeous and we had time for a game of cornhole on the back patio overlooking the vines.
In addition, the posted calendar of events seems chocked full of varied, fun entertainmrnt opportunities.
The entire experience was warm, laid back and ultra friendly. We hope to be back soon!

This wonderful vineyard’s spot atop the tallest hill in a gorgeous valley surrounded by even taller hills makes its setting hard to beat. They have *huge* decks that are pet friendly—they welcomed our puppy and offered a bowl of water—that give commanding views of the area (and probably one of the best views of Mt. Yonah). The staff was incredibly friendly and engaging. They were the *only* vineyard around that was open on a Monday during off season, and we saw that they have frequent events going on, from karaoke to candle making. Would absolutely love to visit again in the future.

Such an amazing vineyard and winery. Steve and Kathy are great people. The Cottage Vineyard has such a breathtaking view. The best winery around. The culture and atmosphere are unlike any other.

How would I be described if I were a wine?

🍷A robust symphony-based sweetness with pink lemonade, hints of white pepper on the nose with added note of wood on the back end.

Live music, sweeping panoramic views and ample outdoor space to enjoy. Even a BBQ food truck. Treat yourself to a frozen wine on the sunny patio!

Best winery we went to hands down! Sure, there are others that have gorgeous facilities and views but that does not top the welcome feeling you get at Cottage Vinyard & Winery. We came Friday and did the wine tasting with Dee, who is phenomenal! There is a good variety of wines to choose from for the tastings and I love that you can mix and match rather than a pre-set list. The Customer service alone is why we chose to return again on Saturday evening! All of the wines we tried were very good! Thank you Dee and we will be back next time we visit this area!

This is the most beautiful winery I've ever been to! We did the wine tasting and I liked all of the wines. Then we got a glass of our favorite wine and sat on the patio for sunset, the views are so pretty of the mountains. I will definitely come back!

On my first visit to this lovely location I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wine and equally impressed with the excellent location featuring a terrific view of the surrounding mountains and forests. My friend and I ordered a Cabernet and a Viognier and ate our lunch (which we brought with us) under a canopy on the deck with a great view of the vineyard and mountains. Afterward we moved to the fun little swing out front until we got too hot to remain outside.
For the remainder of our visit we sat inside the tasting room and visited with the staff while enjoying more wine. It was a delightful visit and a positive experience overall. I would highly recommend this location for fans of wine and natural beauty, both of which are available in abundance here.
