Brooklyn Cooperative Grocery

This is an awesome little market! I was surprised by the extend of items they have. It's as if you condensed a whole market into the essentials. Their cafe is great and has selections of coffee and espresso drinks and a lunch / snack menu.

Got fresh organic produce and a members online farmers market available on their site with extensive selections.

I love this place… my partner and I stumbled upon it and we are so impressed. We got almost everything we needed on our (long) weekly grocery list. The GM has a heart of gold - spoke with us for several minutes and had such an amazing energy about him. We will be returning and would LOVE to support in anyway we can. We would love to see some live music, events, art walks, anything to further support our community and neighborhood. Thank you so much, Know Thy Food!

I love, love, love this place! I order all of my food here. I've been a member for years, and while on the surface it doesn't seem like you can get everything you need here, as a member you can order EVERYTHING. And everything is of amazing quality, mostly local, mostly organic and farm raised. My favorite meal is the ham and cheese scramble; so yummy! They also have bone broth, kombucha by the growler, and bulk foods.

These people and their products are great! Local food , local folks who seem to care about both. Prices are a little high, but what else would I expect? Quality meats, cheese veggies, coffee? Yes please!

They carry Deck Farm products, which is why I went; then I had a smoothie. OMG the Monkey's milk was refreshing and light even with cow's milk. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. I'll definitely be shopping there in the future.

Great neighborhood community spot. Lots of fresh local produce and local goods. The café uses the same organic foods from the market to make great breakfast and lunch fare. Family friendly too, kids music M-F at 10:30am, plus more community programs on evenings and weekends. Nice indoor play area. Right across from the Brooklyn City Park as well.

This is a co-op, not a discount grocery store! They have a community space w/entertainment for kiddos; local & organic produce, meat & vegan food options incl. coconut milk ice cream; a great kombucha taps selection; happy hour with discounts on draft drinks; make good sandwiches and tasty pastry; and sell good beer & wine at good prices. Go in, order something to eat and drink, hang out in the community room, and then grab some goodies for dinner!

Been a customer here since it's 2nd year in existence and it is my next closest resource to having my own garden. Whether you're Veggie, Vegan, Carnivore or Pescatarian, you'll find something here for you.

Surprisingly above average food for a small local eatery/grocery store. I'm always pleasantly surprised by this place and the staff are extremely friendly. A must-go if you live in the neighborhood.
