Never disappointed. Great meals night and day and oh that BBQ Lamb, spit roasted every day, the best you will ever have, until the next time you visit. Ivor on the door will look after you. Always Friendly staff, we visited several times during our week in Bansko.

Delicios and authentic food. We really enjoyed the dinner and the atmosphere. Good service and the staff is super polite, recommended us some amazing traditional food. At the end they offered us a good homemade “digestif” which is called vishnovka 🍒.

Excellent food (lamb with onion, zucchini, potato). I recommend also mixed pickles salad and homemade bread with garlic or with olive oil. Local beer is very good. Personnel is nice. Great atmosphere (traditional Bulgarian music). Suggestion for the owner: please ensure it is not too hot inside. We had good time there!

Think you can order anything off the menu and it would be good.

We visited Mehana Chervermeto after skiing in the peak winter season, and they had space for us even without a reservation. Initially, our table was downstairs, and we asked to move up near the main room with the grill. They did so very quickly and gave us a spot near the centre of the room/

The food was delicious, homemade, and good portion size. We had a mix of meats including salmon, Sach (a platter of meats and vegetables) ribs, and tongue. All was grilled tk perfection and tasted delicious. My top tip is to share mains with the table as the plates are perfect for picking at, so you experience other plates. You should have some side dishes too as the mains come without - my recommendation is the traditional Bulgarian Shopka salad, grilled cheese with honey and walnuts, and chips with white cheese, as they taste divine!

The staff were lovely and attentant to everything we needed, and took the time to chat to us. They gave us some delicious cherry liqueur on the house after our meal which was a treat!

The price wa reasonable for the quality of food. You can cheaply eat here if you stay with chicken mains and salad dishes and still have a great experience. They cater for those wanting quality cuts eg steak and lamb too which are on the pricier end - but look absolutely delicious.

Would recommend visiting, this place is one of a kind and an amazing authentic Bulgarian experience :)

This place is amazing!
The food was top quality (except the pre-fried French fries - but that's how proper fries should be 🥹 )
The portions are very good and the prices are recent for bansko. A bit pricey for Bulgaria, but Bansko is overall a bit pricey for Bulgaria.
They also have a big selection of wines, which we didn't try but it's there if you are into wine.
The atmosphere is great, the decor a bit over the top, as expected. At some point there was love music which we really enjoyed.
Service was great. The person serving us was very polite, spoke perfect english and even managed to throw in a joke or two, even though the restaurant was packed.
On that note, make sure to book, as it gets pretty busy and at peak hours there can be a line forming.

So far my best dining experience in Bansko with proper local flavours and not pretentiously cooked food. This place is just the thing after a long day skiing 🍟⛷

Delicious tripe soup, fresh and tender beef tongue in butter, good barbequed meat and very attentive service. I would only take out a star as prices are a bit too high on some items (like Shopska salad).

We go back every year, best Mehana in Bansko. Amazing food, authentic Bulgarian cuisine. Excellent value for money good portions. Wonderful ambiance, friendly, professional staff. We like the live Bulgarian musicians. Nothing is too much trouble, ask and you shall receive!

Delicious and feels very authentic. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed and recommend. The menu is quite extensive and has variety so you’ll find something you like. The bbq was delicious, freshly made near to our table, such juicy meat!

Super place so happy we found it. Great atmosphere, food was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Best place I’ve eaten in Bulgaria over my two visits. Would recommend the salad and meat starters and the lamb shoulder (needs to be shared by 2-3)

They really know how to deal with meat. I can also recommend their "handmade" bread with garlic and cheese. The average bill for 1 person is about 15-20 euro with alcohol. Portions are rather big, so think twice before ordering more than one dish)

What a great night of traditional food with local muscians going around the tables playing Bulgarian folk style music. We had the roasted lamb for 4 , it was fantastic. The staff where also fantastic.

Perfect location and very nice and friendly staff. Don't know what happened to the ones blaming the service but I can tell that everything was just perfect. Absolutely friendly waiter, fast but not too fast service if you know what I mean. And the most important - amazing dishes. Had the goat cheese with caramelized walnuts, roasted peppers stuffed cheese and a cheese-garlic bread.
So 100% recommendable.

Very polite and welcoming staff, good food with reasonable prices and an overall great atmosphere. The staff knows english, making the communication easy.
Make sure you reserve in advance in order to not miss this gem!

One of the best meal experiences I have had. I say experience as the atmosphere was incredible, live music playing around the tables entertaining and celebrating birthdays. Great food and drinks. You'd be sorry to miss it if you are in Bansko

Local (Bulgarian) prices, tasty food we had the sea bass and Bansko soujuk (sausage) with house red wine and more. Very polite and oranized service and wonderful atmosphere. We will come back.
