Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica

4Seasons does hotels well. The grounds are stunning, the rooms upscale and well sized and the service is great. It’s also one of the more expensive 4S’s we’ve visited so be prepared.

We played a couple of rounds of golf and enjoyed it. Course is in great shape and not too challenging.

This location has some of the best food we’ve had at a 4 Seasons. The variety and quality is outstanding. We’ve been to all but the Italian/seafood restaurant and have been impressed.

Small nits: there are 3 pools, one is adults only. You have to pay ($75 for a chair which comes with a mimosa and fruit or $750 for a cabana for 2 which includes a minibar) to be at the adult pool which feels petty given the room charges. Also, for a water focused hotel there are no swimsuit drying racks on the balcony’s.

Overall we’ve enjoyed our stay.

Spectacular property with friendly and warm staff that made every effort to make our visit enjoyable. Clean rooms, quiet locations to relax with adults only pool. Fantastic fitness facility and spa. Manicured grounds and lots of territory to walk and exercise while taking in the views. The restaurants had tasty selections for any palate. On site transportation always ready to assist. Will definitely return!

Four Seasons Hotels never fail to amaze! It was our first time in this particular one and we absolutely loved it! Everyone is extremely welcoming and nice, we felt at home right away!

Our hearts swelled with gratitude for the exceptional attention bestowed upon our 2-year-old daughter, Etna. The staff's thoughtfulness towards her made a world of difference, turning her stay into a joyous adventure. Special mention goes to Kim, who went above and beyond in creating magical moments for our little one. Etna's face lit up with delight during her time with Kim, and we are truly grateful for the exceptional care and kindness extended to her.

From the moment you are picked up by your driver from the airport, you step into relaxation and top notch service. Driving up to the meticulously manicured grounds of The Four Seasons, being greeted by name and offered coconut water, is just the beginning of the Four Seasons Experience in Costa Rica
David, the concierge manager, is ever present, knows all of his guests by name, and makes sure that your stay and accommodations are perfect.
Whether you choose to luxuriate by the pool or beach, go on a jet ski adventure, or sail away on a catamaran, you will feel total relaxation. The restaurants are fabulous and the rooms are spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable.
I've stayed all over the world, and this resort is at the top of my list...pure relaxation & and top-notch service.

This was my second time visiting the resort and no disappointment. If I could move here I would.the customer service is amazing, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. We visited with our 1 year old and we couldn’t have asked for a better location to visit on vacation.

All the restaurants served amazing food.

we stayed in this hotel in november. We absolutely love hotel 4 Season ! this hotel is very beautiful; the staff is great! They always knew our name and did everything possible for us to ensure that our vacation was at the highest level!
The room is very clean! I would like to say thank you to all the hotel staff! Thanks for the golf cart tour of the hotel! And also we celebrate 10 years anniversary and hotel team give us cake and bottle of champagne! For our kid- cupcakes and 2 cute toys! 
also in room coffee machine; refrigerator .
every evening tea( different taste)! Also for kids shampoo ,shower gel, cup! Always ice ready ( at evening)! a lot free activities every day. you can go and free learn how cooked quesadillas example. chef will explain, show you and give you to home recipe. and you can eat what he prepared for you.

Mario and JeanCarlos at Añejo were awesome bartenders. Super knowledgable and passionate about cocktails. Katherine gave us an awesome snorkel tour. The service was insane all around. I would come back year after year!

Beautiful and peaceful location. A lot of wildlife (especially Monkeys), excellent food and several nice pools. Highly reccommendable.

My wife and I have stayed at Four Seasons all over the world (my wife has stayed at 40!) and we were amazed at the level of service and hospitality of the staff here. Upper tier.

Food, service and location were stellar. I am walking out of my room as I write this review and want to stay another week.

Husband bday 2023. Absolutely beautiful property. You feel at peace and relaxed in this hideaway sanctuary.

Magical! Peninsula Papagayo is such a special place and The Four Seasons elevates the experience to another level. The property itself is gorgeous with two beaches and several pools and lovely rooms. There is a gorgeous spa with a gym & daily classes including yoga. We enjoyed a guided walk through the mangroves to see the local flora & fauna, and a guided snorkelling excursion, all offered by the hotel. The adjacent golf course offers play with a pro options and also has an elegant restaurant available to guests of the hotel. Onsite there are 3 restaurants, all absolutely delicious plus room service is always available. This is a truly spectacular hotel and experience!!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon in mid January and it was the most magical experience! We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a canopy suite with a private plunge pool upon our arrival which made it that much more special. The views were stunning no matter where we were on the property, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks were marvelous. So many things to do on property but relaxing by the pool or beach was just as fulfilling. This place far exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to return one day.

Beautiful property, and amazing service. The beach attached to the property was spectacular. Warm water and crystal clear. The food was amazing, especially at the Italian restaurant Pesce. The chef does a phenomenal job with his creations. Although we didn't come with our kids, there were so many families around so it's a very family friendly resort. The spa was lovely, specifically Ashley at the nail salon was a complete pleasure to speak to when she did my nails. Luz at the Bahia restaurant is an amazing waitress. Super personable and kind. Also, Jessica P. (assistant director of rooms division) was yet another demonstration of phenomenal customer service. Her attention to detail and understanding of how to create a great customer experience is impeccable. The entire staff was tremendously kind and attentive. The Costa Rican people here were a complete pleasure to speak with and get to know. The service and people here, 10/10.

This is definitely one of a kind. I’m quickly becoming a Four Seasons fanatic. The service is unmatched, quality is amongst the highest, and the food/drink is superb! My daughter and I enjoyed this resort for her 21st birthday. They really helped to make it special. Xoxox

What can I say, it’s one of the most spectacular properties on earth!

The natural beauty is astounding and the staff makes you feel right at home.

Each meal was delicious and this resort in particular is very intentional, offering daily yoga, sound baths, and incredible ritual spa experiences.

Do the monkey and bird tours! You will not be disappointed. We loved every moment of our stay and hope to return very soon.

It does not get better than this! My husband and I are lucky enough to have travelled much of the world (he’s 45 and I’m 37). The people here are so friendly. The food is incredibly nourishing and healthy. The turquoise waters are pristine. The room was phenomenal. We saw so much wildlife simply walking from our suite to breakfast.

A couple unique things to note for those traveling with kids:

The kids club is WOW! So impressed with the facility, the kids pool, playground, and the teachers. My son (4.5) was thrilled. He wanted to check out hermit crabs on the beach most mornings and because the club was pretty quiet, he was able to do as he pleased. They have an awesome enrichment schedule everyday as well. He made shell necklaces from the beach for me, himself, and my husband, with the help of the staff.

We went zip-lining in the peninsula and it was a core memory to watch our young son go first in the group (with the guide).

The beds are phenomenal. This includes the pull out sofa and the roll always.

Breakfast opens at 6 AM which was such a lifesaver when our son was waking up at 4/4:30 🫣.

We ordered evening room service to be delivered every night at 5 pm so we could get our son the bed on time. (The property restaurants don’t open until 6 pm)

Not only will we be back…I’m trying to convince my husband to move there. We felt so much love from everyone and totally safe.

From start to finish, an excellent 5 star experience. Planned this vacation as a 4 day get away for My Wife's birthday. In the day's leading in, the concierge team was so helpful with planning out some fun excursions for our weekend as well as honoring the request of a birthday cake already set up in our room upon arrival! My Wife was definitely surprised and excited. The room was very neat and clean with everything in working order. The breathtaking ocean view from our room was beyond amazing. In room dining was always quick with the order being hot and ready upon delivery. Excellent food and beverages from the restaurants Pesce, Bahia and Nemare. Also had a relaxing time at the beach and pool. One of the best vacations we've had in a while! Will definitely return. If you haven't downloaded the Four Seasons App, you need to!

Incredible views, incredible staff, incredible stay. Everything was wonderful. From the very start at checkin, with a cold coconut, the staff immediately treated us with attention and care. We went to añejo, Pesce, la Bahia, Pool and Beach and every single experience was amazing. It was hard to leave and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful location, extremely warm staff and multiple food options.
We loved the Bahia Grill restaurant during our 3 day stay and the staff at the restaurant treated us like family. Overall a wonderful property.
