Maracuyá Beach Club

Maracuya is a great option for cocktails or dinner by coco. It is right by the beach which makes for stunning views. Service was great and everyone was incredibly attentive. The passion fruit margaritas were to die for and I’d recommend ordering a few!

The service is perfect. We were so well attended to. The server even went to get the kids out of the pool when their food arrived. Top Notch!

Absolutely amazing! The food is something to come back for over and over! High level gourmet.
Also, beautiful setting, very nice and attentive servers. We had several dinners here with my family and we were impressed every time. And the bill was very decent. If we will be coming back to the area, Maracuya might be a big reason!

Wow! Just wow! Chef helped us plan a birthday dinner, helped coordinate transportation from our hotel and the staff there provided one of the best experiences ever. They were warm, kinda and attentive. I immediately loved the place walking in for evening dinner. Great setting and atmosphere. And THE FOOD… wow! Everything we had was 5 star. I cannot say anything bad about our experience here. The nicest people serving you the best food you’ve ever had.

We LOVE Maracuyá! The food is delicious, the setting is beautiful and the service is excellent. The staff goes so far and beyond to be friendly, to anticipate (or remember) your needs and basically bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere is probably “fine dining” in the evening, but everything is as casual as you’d like it to be - we love to take our lunch on the beach or on the lawn for a picnic to get a little closer to the water - but the views and the ambience in the restaurant/club are fantastic. The house band is great (select evenings). For takeout - they’ll even deliver up the hill to Villa Amor Azul (we have a menu in our Welcome Book). Thank yous & shout-outs to Lissy, Chimpy, Christian, Carlos, Reynaldo, Mauricio, Sebastian (& Lizette) and the entire staff for being amazing. ¡Muchas gracias y Pura Vida!

The highlight of our trip for sure! We got day passes and spent so we could hang out by the pool and check out the beach before dinner. The place is beautiful, food and drinks are amazing, but the staff are what made the experience exceptional! Thanks Maracuya, we will be back!

The food is delicious and the service is great. The resort is top notch. We have enjoyed several meals while visiting the villas. Staff is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and other languages. I even heard some German.

My wife and our Friends had a 1st Class experience at Maracuya’s.

The Food was possibly the best we have had in our 20 years of traveling.
The Drinks that were made for us were certainly the best we have had in 20 years.

The food and drink was amazing, I was apprehensive about eating here since the reviews were so good and it is a resort type restaurant. However, I’m super glad we did.
What put this over the top was the fact that my husband asked if they had chicharrones, which they didn’t. They did say they would try to get some for him for dinner the next day. We walked in the following day and they said “We have chicharrones for you!” They made an appetizer of chicharrones two ways and then for the main course they prepared Chifrijo which is a typical Costa Rican dish of fried chicharrones, rice, and beans. (Keep in mind none of this was on the menu!) my husband was in heaven.
We cane here everyday we were at the resort for dinner. I’m still dreaming of their grilled vegetables and hearts of palm. I had my first sea bass and mahi mahi here and they were both fantastic.
The staff is amazing and super accommodating, and great to work with.
The only thing that we didn’t love were the desserts, they were nothing special.

Beware the jalapenos in this region, but otherwise amazing. The Spiced Iced Tea is absolutely decadent. Amazingly deep flavors from start to finish. Friendly, attentive wait staff, I appreciate them accommodating my son and I on a late Monday night after a long day of travel. Pura Vida. Muchos Gracias.

Amazing place. Beautiful and quiet beach plus great pools. The service is unparalleled here. The staff went above and beyond on every possible occasion. By the end of my trip I was so sad to leave. The food and drinks are great but the staff is what makes this place incredible. The level of service is something I have not come across anywhere else in Costa Rica. Thank you!!!

So great! Attentive staff great setup. We didn't stay there but the $25 per day pass was a super deal since it counts towards food. Also solid high quality high speed wifi, very clean all around. Best fruit milkshakes in CR. There is a black sand beach as well as the pool.

We were in Playa Hermosa so the trip was not to far about 25 mins. But definately woth the trip. Food was outstanding, best overall experience my wife and I had in CR. Below are two appetizers we ate and they were delish.

We had an extraordinary meal here and I'm still dreaming about the red snapper in a banana leaf, which was perfectly cooked. This restaurant has all the charm and ambiance one could imagine in a beach side restaurant. Service is very good, as are the margaritas and mojitos; we will definitely return. Oh, and don't miss the divine ceviche. I'd return for this dish alone!

Maracuya is the best place to eat in Coco!! Not only is the food exceptional but the service is top notch! The waiters and waitresses are so kind and ensure that everyone has a good time 😊 Not to mention the views are beautiful! If you have a chance to eat at Maracuya I highly recommend!!

One of the best restaurants - great food, delicious, fresh and beautiful presentation. The drink were also very good. Great service (Lisso went above and beyond). We enjoyed all the dishes we tried and had a great time with the live music on Latin night. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Amazing food. We ate at Maracuya twice during our stay and it was by far our favorite restaurant around Coco. The mahi mahi was done to perfection, the ribs were sublime… we came here last year and we found the food to be even better this year. Would definitely highly recommend trying this hidden gem for dinner.

The food is delicious, the staff are kind and experienced, the scenery is striking, this is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a night out, or have a vacation! We stayed a full month at Bahia Pez Vela where the restaurant is located, and we were delighted at how well-kept the grounds are, the staff are so friendly and helpful. We even had two young children with us, and they were so nice and patient with them. We highly recommend this beautiful Costa Rican location and restaurant!

The steak/avocado sandwich was out of this world. top 5 meals of my life. Totally didn't expect this for a casual pool/ocean side restaurant.

Food was spectacular, service was quick and friendly.
