Villa Buena Onda - All Inclusive Micro Resort, Playas del Coco

Our group of 14 stayed here for a week and it was amazing. The staff made us feel so welcome and cared for. We celebrated two birthdays and had a proposal and they made everything feel special and went above an beyond. The pool the clean, the rooms spacious and cold, and the food was top notch. I am vegan and they made some of the best meals specifically for me complete with multiple options per meal and dessert, all plant based. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Absolutely amazing vacation and the entire experience was unforgettable. Heidi and Carlos were the icing on the cake. They are courteous, professional, accommodating and were there every step of the way to ensure our experience was amazing. The property is amazing but the staff is truly what made the experience one will be hard to top.

The villa was amazing. The staff and the food was the best ever. Samuel was the best. I would definitely stay here again.

I would give 10 stars if I could! This was by far the BEST experience I have had staying in Costa Rica! I had my wedding at Villa Buena Onda and everything exceeded my expectations by 100%. The staff were wonderful and attentive. Marijke had every detail covered and made everything flow with ease. The food was delicious every day, breakfast lunch and dinner! We were close to everything and really enjoyed the town. I can’t thank them enough for making our trip wonderful:) We will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversary!

Amazing location that offers plenty of space to host whatever celebration, party, or adventure you want. Amazing staff that will arrange anything you need and serve you excellent meals. Infinity pool with a swim up bar and water fall feature to the lower pool surrounded by cabanas and beach chairs

Absolutely phenomenal place to stay in Coco! The rooms, the view, the pools, the food and knowledge and level of service from everyone on staff is not like you will find in larger hotels PLUS it’s adults only with only 8 rooms which makes is a luxury 5 star boutique hotel you will not be disappointed in. Perched on a hilltop of lush landscape, you have a gorgeous view of the ocean and are treated like a celebrity from day one through your entire stay. The staff makes this amenity rich hideaway property a uniquely amazing experience. Food is amazing!

I have stayed at Villa Buena Onda many times with my wife as I find that it is really the only true Adults Only hotel in Costa Rica. I have stayed at many hotels in Costa Rica and this hotel offers the peace, tranquility and relaxation while also being close to the town of Playa del Coco.

The stay are incredible and make your experience, from Shelley at the front desk to Christian and Javier serving you drinks. As the property only has 7 rooms it is a unique boutique experience that I think every couple should experience.

The room are overly spacious with Ocean View and I would highly suggest making sure you get an Ocean View Suite.

My tip while staying there is make sure you do 2 things:

1) Do the private hidden beaches tour.
2) Take the tortilla making classes, great fun!

Such a wonderful adults only boutique in a great location near Coco Beach. Loved the food + hospitality. Don't miss happy hour. Pool is also lovely. Rooms are comfortable with fantastic views from sliding glass doors.

Paradise on earth really! Best place im costa Rica, you feel se relax and this place have so much to enjoy of. Really superb place, the rooms are spacious. The staff is at little care, the pool is amazing and the food is very good. The formula breakfast included is therefore appropriate. Nothing to say, we loved our stay at the villa and I do really recommande this place, perfecto for couples or with your friends.

Me and Marta arrived little earlier than check-in time only to be welcomed happily by Marijke, Alex and Carlos. Carlos gave us a tropical drink which was must needed after a 5 hours drive from SJO. Later we went to checkout Ocotal Beach. When we arrived back to enjoy the pool, sunset, and some cocktails, Cesar the bar tender taught us how to play Domino. Shared some of his knowledge about some secret beaches that only locals know about. The first night we didn't have dinner because we had late lunch. The breakfast is simply delicious. Go for VBO breakfast, it is yumm! After breakfast we got some work done on our computers and then left to one of the hidden beaches that is called Penca Beach or Playa Escondida. Following the directions given by Javier and Alex. Wonderful beach. We again head back to enjoy pool sunset, cocktails and domino. This time Javier played with us. But surprisingly he didn't win haha.

The design and distribution of VBO is beautiful. High roofs, natural light, beautiful lamps, huge bathrooms, amazing views. They go extra mile to make your stay highly comfortable.

A must visit place!

What a wonderful place I stayed 7 years ago. I really loved it and the NAMU Travel team was excellent in helping me with the stay here.

My wife and I honeymooned at this beautiful Villa. When we arrived, we were greeted by name with tropical drinks. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing, and the drinks were perfect. I highly recommend this place!

Food is excellent. Seriously, the entrees are first class.

The rooms are big, have AC, and the upstairs rooms have amazing views. Won’t be disappointed.

All in all the hotel property and staff make this place first class.

Great stay and I look forward to staying there again. The staff was awesome the best I have had at an all-inclusive. It needs to be on everyone's bucket list of travel.

We had our honeymoon vacation here and it couldn't have been more perfect. Beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, and tons of adventure...can't get much better than that!
