Villa Preciosa Resort

If I could give more stars I would! My (now) wife and I and our family of 16 traveled to Costa Rica and stayed at Villa Preciosa. Oh, and we got married there! It was absolute perfection. Carlos was the consummate host. Chef Jose prepared phenomenal 5 star, 3 course meals. The food was incredible and they catered to those with different food needs. A highlight beyond doubt was our bartender/entertainer/do-it-all friend Jimmy. He was always on hand to help with anything. Truly blessed to have met him. Gracias Jimmy! The property is beyond words. We held our intimate wedding ceremony on the top balcony. Carlos helped with arrangements for our officiant, our excursions, transportation, everything. If you and a large group of family or friends are considering anywhere in Costa Rica, this is the place. You will not be disappointed! Pura Vida!

We spent a week as a family reunion, 20 of us! Beautiful villa with a beautiful view. Carlos had great contacts and suggestions for outings. Jimmy and Chef Daniel made us feel at home and catered to our dietary needs with spectacular food and drink. Loved every minute!

Such an incredible venue!! My daughter was married there last week and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the view, the elegance of the home, and customer service beyond compare. Carlos was fantastic, helping us with every need. Jimmy was the best cabana gentlemen, server and host I have ever had the pleasure of being helped by. What could I possibly say to tell people how amazing this place is?? We expected a house and a cook. What we got was closer to our own personal resort. Chef Daniel and Caesar served us three, three course meals each day. Beautiful plate setups and delicious food. Jimmy is so in tune with taking care of guests. He decorated the dining area each night to commemorate the occasion. (we had 4 birthdays, Christmas, and a 50th anniversary to celebrate while there).

And Carlos. The owner. Man, Carlos has this figured out. He's got an amazing staff. Stunning house. And he's always around to make sure things are going perfectly. One of our group had an accident while there. He went and directed an ambulance to the house, visited her in the hospital multiple times, sent a beautiful flower bouquet. Even brought some of Daniel's amazing passion fruit cheesecake. This is all days after our stay was over!

Amazing. We expected a trip to Costa Rica. What we got was something entirely different. We got a experience to last a lifetime. We didn't even want to leave the villa! Top notch.

As other guests have said, it’s hard to explain the magic of Villa Preciosa.

We had an intimate family wedding at Villa Preciosa and I can confidently say that it exceeded all of our expectations. From the start Carlos (the owner) was extremely responsive. Since my husband and I are based out of California we wanted to make sure we had our bearings on all wedding details for our family and Carlos answered ALL of our many emails and questions within the day (sometimes even within the hour).

Carlos was fantastic resource for all aspects of our trip— menu that would work for everyone, buying extra snacks, setting up transportation, introducing us to an event planner. He truly is a Renaissance man!!

Our entire trip was seamless!!! Honestly, I’ve never experienced such a high level of hospitality, professionalism and class. The house is breathtakingly gorgeous, as is the pool. And the house is absolutely big enough for a large group (we had 18).

I have to give a huge shoutout to the staff at Villa Preciosa as well. Jimmy helped us with EVERYTHING while we were there. He made us the best cocktails the whole trip and was truly there to answer any and all of our questions. Our whole group would agree- Jimmy is just the best!!

Also, THE FOOD! You will feel like you’re in a food heaven. Three proper meals a day— gourmet meals!!! They were so kind to accommodate our many food allergies and presented the food in such a beautiful way I almost didn’t want to eat it.

As I mentioned, we had our wedding at Villa Preciosa and I can’t recommend it enough. We had a small intimate ceremony right on the patio overlooking the pool and it was stunning. After the ceremony we went down to a cute patio with twinkle lights for a champagne toast and pictures. PS if you’re looking for a photographer, Sharing Life Photography is who we used and we were so impressed.

Jimmy helped us set up for the wedding and champagne toast and they even let us use some of the gorgeous flower arrangements at the podium.

After the wedding we danced on the patio and swam all night long. In the morning Michael and I woke up to a surprise on our bed.. flowers and towels shaped like swans.

The rooms are cleaned every single day and the level of consideration for guest needs is unmatched. Getting married at Villa Preciosa was more than I ever could have dreamed of. Now we are just trying to figure out when we can go back next!

Do yourself a favor and book a vacation here— best place on the planet!!!
