La Vida Dulce

We came over a dirt road from the Playa Tambor/ Cobana area to find this gem. Small bake shop and eatery close to Montezuma. The place, the owner and staff were so charming and the vibe of this place was wonderful. Enjoyed coffee, the breakfast sandwich (on an amazing home made biscuit), the French toast banana bread (yum), and the best ever dragonfruit homemade granola smoothie bowl! The owner supplies a number of restaurants in Santa Teresa and sells at various street markets in the area. Her chocolate brownies are fantastic!

Wonderful coffee and pastry shop just off the beaten path above Montezuma. We met the owner and had great gluten-free desserts and conversation!

This place is amazing. Not just the vibes; but all of the fresh baked goods too. I visited La Vida Dulce 4 years ago when I visited Montezuma… we stayed at a place called Chez Mu and this bakery was walking distance away. I STILL think about this place from time to time (4 years later)
The woman who owns the bakery is amazing. Her energy is unmatched. Her desserts and baked goods were amazing. My group of friends and I LOVED it and tried to visit daily during our stay. If I ever make it back to Montezuma…. You will find me at La Vida Dulce!!!

If you are in the Montezuma area La Vida Dulce is a must stop. The baked treats are always amazing! You can pick them up at the restaurant or at one of the local markets on Saturdays.

Also, if you can make one of their themed dinner nights do not miss the opportunity to dine under the stars and have your tastebuds taken on a journey around the world!

Pura Vida

The most amazing baked goods and coffee. We had the egg sandwich on a gorgeous biscuit with coffee via French press.. then grabbed some sweets for the road which were incredible.

My wife and I ate here on our vacation a few month ago when it just opened. It is the cutest spot to grab some pastries, baked goods and a drink before heading into Montezuma. The food was fantastic and the owner was very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who passes by!

Enjoyed amazing breakfast biscuit with gourmet jellies in the tranquility of the rain forest. Also sampled and loved a couple of baked goods and pastries. Very reasonably priced as well. Staff is top notch and personable. I highly recommend spending the morning enjoying the atmosphere and delectable eats.

Wonderful cafe up the hill from Montezuma. All baked with care by the owner. A worthwhile destination by itself.

For the price of a full dinner in a fancy beachside restaurant, we got here two small pieces of brownie with a caramel or peanut butter topping.
Taste was good, but not extraordinary.
