Hotel Nya - Montezuma

We stayed at Nya for 6 nights. It’s across the street from the beach. We walked the beautiful beach with our coffee every morning and watched the sunrise. Very magical. I recommend bringing lots of water and walking to playa grande beach at least once. Spectacular beach and a nice walk with lots of great spots to stop on the way.

The hotel sits in the jungle and we enjoyed wild life and monkeys everyday. The bartenders and restaurant staff were great. Shout out to Sting for making it extra special and fun. Restaurant was very good, breakfast every morning was great.Beautiful pool and grounds to relax and enjoy a book or a nap. Our room had a few mosquitos that snuck in somehow and ants in the shower. In my experience it comes with being in a jungle. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We did yoga and the classes were so good. Incredible yoga instructors, with such a beautiful atmosphere.
Montezuma is a fun town. Lots to do in town and plenty of great restaurants. We hiked to the waterfalls which was such an adventure and would highly recommend. We also did Cabo blanco (bring water shoes beach is so rocky) beautiful hike and lots of wildlife.
We would 100% come back and stay here. In fact we plan on it. We have spent a total of 5 weeks now in Costa Rica and Montezuma is in the top 3 places. Great vibes and beautiful beaches. Montezuma has definitely been discovered, it being nestled where it is keeps it small and more local feeling but it is expensive. Drinks are like $10-15 and dinner can be expensive as well. You can save by eating at some of the sodas. (Sodas typical was our favorite) and do a grocery shop on your way to buy snacks and maybe some drinks to keep in fridge. Only criticism is from desk seemed a little bit stressed out. It wasn’t clear on instructions for yoga , if it was a cost ( it is but with it) and a few other things bill at end was confusing so give extra time to go over it at check out. . Id also recommend asking about where to rinse feet off before going to your room. I wish there was a place outside rooms so you don’t track in sand. We had found a hose by pool. Very minor on the scale of our vacation.

Sting the bartender makes the BEST mojito across Costa Rica and Panama! It was incredible to the taste and to the eyes. We have been traveling for four and this guy is the top! Even if you are not staying here, swing by and treat yourself to excellent service and the best drinks and atmosphere. Five stars ⭐

Absolutely loved our stay here!! The staff were so welcoming and kind. The room was really nice, it has a good square footage, and is modern and well furnished. If you plan on staying here, I highly recommend it. The food was delicious. They have a restaurant that serves incredible food, for a good price. Really excited to take the yoga classes here! The location is perfect. It is across the street from the beach and practically in the quaint town of montezuma. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at Nya! Very cool hotel. They made us feel really special for our honeymoon and we enjoyed the jungle and natural landscape. The room was very cozy and clean as well. The staff was very helpful as well. They helped us book a day trip with Zuma tours which was a blast!
The only thing we hoped would be better would be the Wi-Fi connection in the room. It worked in the bathroom and balcony but that’s it. Minor setback for a great stay. Would recommend!

I have stayed at Hotel Nya twice now, and each time has been amazing. My husband and I have taken two Valentines Day getaway’s to Montezuma and stayed for the week at Hotel Nya. Our first trip was Feb 2020 and the second was Feb 2022. The food is my favorite in Montezuma, the chef takes great care in creating those dishes. The staff is super helpful, the rooms are super clean, and the grounds are stunning. I’ve never stayed anywhere quiet like it. As I wrote this in my snowy hometown, I am dreaming of relaxing by the Nya pool with a Bohemia.

This place is an oasis by the beach. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the patios being a great addition, the breakfast is delicious and the whole place blends perfectly into the jungle. Service was also top notch. I wish I could have stayed longer.

NYA is incredible. We seriously never wanted to leave. It’s an oasis in an already beautiful place. Our room was super comfy, the staff was excellent and kind, and the breakfast was perfect. Huge thumbs up for dinner at the restaurant! Can’t wait to visit again!!

Continental breakfast is good but just 1 dish of choice:
I choose Costa Rican style, and came Gallo Pinto ,but just Gallo Pinto.

No fruits,ioghurt,juice,all very important at breakfast.

I asked for a transfer from Montezuma to La Fortuna (Arenal) ,private or shuttle.
They gave price of 395 US dollars for private.
Overpriced.
A found private for 300 in Montezuma travel shops and shuttle for 60.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel at the end of Montezuma, a stone trough away from the beach. Big rooms with balconies overlooking the jungle, loads of wildlife on the property, great breakfast and a yoga shala on top of the property. Huge recommendation!

Amazing! Beautiful property steps from the beach. Super friendly staff and yummy on site restaurant. We didn’t want to leave! Wilson and the whole staff were very nice and accommodating. The pool was also awesome and we could see monkeys from our bed. We hope to return soon! Also the yoga Shala space is incredible!

Incredible stay at Nya. The hotel is so lush, well designed, two steps away from the beach. Everyone was so kind to us and made sure that we had a memorable stay during our honeymoon. The breakfast was excellent. We wish we could have stayed one more week.

- location is easily accesible by car, parking is secure, hotel is on the edge of the village, has AMAZING restaurant + gym + pool
the whole complex is located in tiny “forest” where you can observe monkeys, birds, reptiles from the comfort of your terrace. The hotel is also very calm so you can relax peacefuly. We enjoyed the pool area too.
- staff is very professional and helpful + the chef at the restaurant is a genius 🤩 even if you wont stay here make sure to come for dinner or drinks you will not regeret it 👍🏻
- restaurant is top 💯 food is lovely combination of local ingredients with modern cuisine ❤ Cant say more Iam drooling even now when I remember it 😅
- rooms are modern and well equiped, enough space for all your luggage, our bathroom was very nice too. The staff keeps the whole place very neat 👍🏻

- Lush garden where we saw, white face cappucinos, howler monkeys, coatis
- The Pool is beautiful.
- The restaurant is delicious.
- Delicious "à la carte" breakfast.
- Well located 2 min from the Beach, 2 min from the center of the town.
- The price is fair, even cheap compare to other hotels I had in Costa Rica. Incredible value for money Ratio.

Megical place that connects nature with luxurious standards. Probably the finest place in the peninsula.
The staff were kind and the service was above and beyond.

I’m a Costarican but I’m writing in English (the best I can) to let everybody from north American and the rest of the world that are English native spoken ( Por supuesto que para todos los de habla hispana también.. espero que tengan traductor) knows how special and nice was our staying at Nya Hotel.
The environment is 100 percent peaceful and quite, everybody around the hotel was very friendly and try to made our stay as good as they could for our 21st wedding aniversary .
Since the moment of my reservation they took care of every detail by answering my personal questions.They really look to personalize your stayed. And because we are in a pandemic mode we really felt safe, I think they are the only ones around that really care about our safety and sanitation.

For each night we stayed we got a beautiful and delicious surprise in our room.
Amenities were great, a lot of nature around and the rooms are very nice and clean.
And if you are looking for a hotel to have a delightful cucine you MUST go to their Ubin restaurant by Keilor Sanchez... it is amazing how can this chef made every plate into a heavenly piece of taste, he makes sure you taste some thing different and the best part is he uses local ingredients, so he warranty you freshness ( and that is from breakfast through dinner) we Highly recomended the “Tasting menu”
You won’t regret it go and enjoy.
I can not forget this great advice (if you live in Costa Rica ) if you want to keep enjoying your mouth for a while with some products as granola, bread or anything made ahead, if you ask the Chef in advance he will make it to you very happily and sale it.

Newly renovated boutique hotel. Clean and nice, with attention to small details like a complimentary dessert every afternoon in your room. Such little things makes you feel taken care of and welcomed. Excellent location: a few minutes walk to a beach and to the center of a village. Food at the hotel restaurant is excellent! A little pricy but worth it. Highly recommend.

Wonderful little oasis within Montezuma. Literally steps from the beach and everything else! Staff and service were wonderful, rooms are practically brand new, pool and grounds are well kept and tended to. We saw monkeys and iguanas on a daily basis. Chef Keilor Sánchez's dishes are truly a work of culinary art. He takes pride in his work, is from Monetzuma and sources all of his ingredients as locally as he can. The menu is as fresh as you would see in any major city. A great stay in a truly unique, small town. Don't miss it.

Amazing place - go as long as it's still available! Beautiful large garden, beautiful pool, brandnew, very tastefully furnished Suites with a nice porch, awesome food at the restaurant and the staff is so warm and friendly. They even helped us out when we were in trouble getting a room between Christmas and New Years. If you need any assistance, ask Ama or Gabriel. And if you can't get a room, try to make reservations at the "Ubin" restaurant!!! The food is exceptional. So is the chef. We loved everything about this place.

The stay at Nya was beyond expectations. The staff was very kind, and the yoga class was definitely a plus. Breakfast was also very tasty. The room was cleaned and modern.

The Yoga at Nya was amazing. Hatha styled with focus on the breath, slow movements and deep streches. A backdrop of Jungle and Mystical Mountian Scape, Tropical Flowers and Garden Sculptures brought an intriguing vibe. The resident Instructor Metzi was wonderful. Thank you! I will be back for a longer Trip!
