Highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and the doctor who speaks great English is very competent. Prices are fair as well (paid $70 for the consultation).

Driving late into Montezuma one evening we experienced a medical emergency. Dr. Carvajal (who speaks excellent English) responded immediately, was extremely professional, and kind. He eased our minds and agreed to see us first thing in the morning. After a quick AM visit we left feeling much better. We were able to pick up his recommended prescriptions next door, it only took five minutes. He is an amazing doctor, has a great staff, and clean clinic.

I recently had the opportunity to visit 506 Urgent Care and Medical Care in Cobano, Costa Rica and was extremely impressed by the level of care provided by the team, I have very high standards being a firefighter/paramedic. When my mother-in-law woke up with chest pain in the middle of the night, I was concerned about finding a facility that could provide her with the care she needed. I was relieved to find 506 Urgent Care and Medical Care, and was even more impressed by the compassion, professionalism, and quality of care provided by the staff.

Despite the fact that the primary doctor was unavailable, his assistant was able to quickly assess the situation and coordinate transportation to a larger medical facility for further treatment. I was truly grateful for the care provided by the team at 506 Urgent Care and Medical Care and would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of urgent or medical care in Cobano. Thank you for helping to save my mother-in-law's life.

Hey! My name is omer zanzury, im a paramedic from Israel.
I was on aATV trip in Santa Teresa costa rica ,and my girlfriend flipped off and hurt her leg. I call to the company and they came with a jeep ambulance to the middle of the forest to rescue us. They took us all the way to San Jose for her to see an orthopedist and have an xray.
Fabian and his team are very professional, and they manage to calm the patient and make here fill safe in good hand , with an excellent treatment .

I feel very comfortable with Dr Carvajal. He is professional and thorough and makes his patients feel at ease. I had a major medical emergency and ended up in hospital. He came to my home to do the examination and sent me to a hospital of his choosing where I received excellent care. Having an English speaking doctor is a very important benefit.

The Doctor Fabian Carvajal was very professional and very kind and he gives us a good price for the pcr-test. The clinic lifeguard next to him is a bit more expensive. He guaranteed that we had the results in 48 hours and in fact we had it in 24 hours. Very quick !! He was very helpful and available if you have any questions or doubts. I highly recommend cobano medical center 👌 Thanks again for the good quality service!! Very appreciated 🙂

Dr. Carvajal and Alexis were amazing! They took great care of my partner who was very sick. They were so kind and helpful! Definitely recommend!

My wife and I had been travelling in Costa Rica for almost a month when she got some sort of bug. She got progressively worse over several days that culminated in a fever, muscle soreness, vomiting, gastrointestinal distress. At this point she was pretty much bedridden, and not able to enjoy the trip any longer. We had just arrived in Montezuma that afternoon. We called the medical clinic and the doctor and his assistant were at our bedside within 45 minutes. They did thorough testing on her within the constraints of a mobile medical unit. They immediately got in contact with our travel insurance provider, and took away all of the stress associated with the medical visit and a foreign country. They both spoke immaculate English which heled the process immensely. Both were very concerned with just providing the best care for my wife. They also both volunteered to drive a 15 km round-trip for us to get the medicine that my wife needed. This was obviously going way above and beyond the call of duty. We can’t thank them enough for saving the last part of our trip! And would highly recommend anyone calling them if they ran into a medical issue in this part of the world.

Medical services better than any doctor in his area. Provides house calls when requested. Does not use answering service, he takes all calls personally 24/7 for immediate consultation. Fluent Spanish and English which is great for expats and visitors.
