Air Terjun Grojogan Sewu

Very beautiful and tall waterfall. Walking down through deep forest with long stairs filled with many cute monkeys around the forest. Cold breeze and magnificent forest and river view. There are food stalls around the waterfall. Cheap ticket.

Had a blast soaking up the awesome nature vibes ! The waterfall is clean, lush, and beautiful, but so many stairs ! 🤣 You can support local seller to buy meal, beverage, and also some souvenir. Beware of wild monkeys, watch your belongings. Avoid visiting on public holiday, too much crowd. Overall, it was a good experience!

Great place to walk around, plenty of monkees around trying to see if you drop anything.
Stairs down to the falls lead to a open area where you can buy food, have a dip in a pool or simply carry on down the steps to the falls.
The falls itself is easy to walk up to and see, taking photos from the bridge is a good spot but also actually at the fall too. You can clamber over the rocks, take selfies and such. Nice but not too many tourists when I went.
Stairs back up are different from the entrance steps, but they're easy enough to walk up.

We took our son on his playtime to a waterfall but it's raining and the water stream is very strong. We did enjoy the 1.250 foot steps down and up. The air is fresh and we find this place quite clean and well maintained thank God it's still in low season

Cool and beautiful waterfall! We spent nights at Riverhill, and near the resort we can walk and reach the waterfall nearer compared the other way higher place near Bale kambang.
Around the waterfall, we can enjoy sate, and some other foods.
If you want to feel the cold water, there is a pool also.
A tips: there are monkeys around. Beware if you bring some foods, they will interested to you and might follow you

One of the most beautiful waterfall I have ever saw in my life. It can be considered a huge waterfall holding its 81 meter spot above the ground. I would suggest people to go and visit this place at around 8 o'clock in the morning since they just opened up on that time therefore you will barely see any other people on the spot and so you will get a sweet photo spot on the bridge later on. Keep in mind that this place closes at 5 o'clock in the evening. In addition, the entrances toward this destination are actually in 2 side, namely loket 1 and loket 2. If you just wanna visit the waterfall with a little walking go for loket 2. Since you will only walk for +- 700 meter around 15 minutes (the path nice with stone based ground finishing, *can be slippery). If you want to go for the whole journey as the name Grojogan Sewu (translated as 1000 Stairs from javanese transcript) then go for loket 1. Bear that it might take a while and tiring. But I am assuring you will get the whole experience with the whole scenery upon the walking (might take 45 - 60 minutes) dependind on your speed.

This waterfall is visited by many tourists, visitors must walk down the stairs as far as 500 meters to get to this place, but the fatigue will pay off with the beauty of the waterfall. Many trees around the waterfall and many monkeys in the trees. The ticket price is quite affordable, visitors can also swim in the swimming pool which is not far from the waterfall. Many horse riding services are offered in this place, riding to get around or riding to get to the location of the waterfall. Vehicle parking is quite extensive and is surrounded by many souvenir sellers.

Incredible, must see. U can meet monkeys. For foreiners is expensive entrance-110000IDR, for local 15000. There is market too.

Nice view, with relaxing ambience. There is a lot of rabbit satay seller. But it needs more energy because there are stairs which you should go up. There are monkeys too! Amazing!

You'll go through 1250 stairs! Watch your legs, but it's really worth it. Beware of the monkeys, you'll find them mingling in groups here and there. Nice view and really calming. There're several food stalls that serve relatively same menu, which I suggest you to order fried noodle! Don't forget to use jackets because it's somewhat cold there. Also bring umbrella if you want to go near the waterfall.

Awesome waterfall , high as 81 meters..... must have good phisical health to visit this place . It is located in a valley around 100 meters down.

Grojogan Sewu is a waterfall located in Central Java. it is located in Tawangmangu Karanganyar District. to get to the waterfall, you have to walk down a lot of stairs. but tired of walking to pay with the beautiful scenery at the waterfall. the neat arrangement of the place of residence makes it nice to look at. when there are many monkeys there. My advice is that if you don't walk with food, if you bring it, it will definitely be pulled by a monkey. when I was there there was a small child carrying food in plastic, then dragged the monkey and his little child crying in fear. holiday in Grojogan Sewu is really fun. there is also a horse rental, so you can go around riding a horse. Grojogan Sewu waterfall is very cool and very beautiful.
