It's bit overcrowded but still worth to visit.

Important: go straight the the single big one who is active, the others won't erupt. The duration is around 3-5 min a blow.

Still I loved it and recommend to visit.

This was super crowded but thankfully it was a big enough spot to have a ton of people around. It was cool, we didn’t do a ton of hiking around and exploring much past the main geysir, but it was impressive to see it erupt multiple times! Worth a stop if you are in the area! Some cool things nearby as well!

We stopped here for an hour on a Golden Circle Reykjavik Excursion. The biggest water area with the erupting geyser, erupted about every 5 minutes when we were there. If you watch the water, you can see it start to bubble and move more right before it erupts. The smaller water areas with hot water bubbling out did not erupt but were fun to walk around to see the various ones.

This stop was the muddiest on our tour, and I was glad to have my waterproof winter hiking boots. Since there is some mud, wet ground, and can be ice, there were signs to wear crampons. There were paths to the different geyser areas, but some areas were muddier than others.

Our guide warned us to stay out of the path of where the steam is blowing since we would get wet, and no one really wants 100 degree Celsius water spraying on them.

There was a large gift shop, food place, and bathrooms.

This was my favorite stop on the Golden Circle Tour.

Very beautiful place to explore hot spring and water fire up high into the sky. The water erupt around every 8 to 10 minutes and it so cool to watch it go up into the sky. Must see if you in iceland

The Geysir was absolutely amazing. It erupts about every 8-10 minutes. Have your cameras ready. A must see. Great little store right there also.

Great experience. This attraction can be done quickly. However, you can hike further away from the crowds if you wish to spend more time here.

This Geysir is a breathtaking natural wonder. Erupting every few minutes, it offers a spectacular display of geothermal power. A must-visit for nature enthusiasts!

Must visit sight, while in Iceland. It’s usually overcrowded, but there’s plenty of space. The Geysir erupts every 3-4 minutes so you’ll surely see it. I suppose going there on sunset must be nice.

I saw the gayzer explode 4 times, which I must admit was very satisfying and exciting to look at .
During the winter I do recommend wearing "metal racks " for shoes to avoid slip over on the floor .

Down there is also Gift Shop with Food shop where you can buu some uniqe food, drink warm drinks and buy a lot of interesting things ranging from T-shirts with a Viking motif, postcards through soaps vegan, ending with various types of magnets, etc.

Another classic stop on the the road-trip in the area. Also the only visitor center I saw with a proper restaurant / cafe. Geyser erupts every few minutes, sometimes slots differ (one can see people saying range from 3-4-10 and it can be all). Also the main one became inactive e.g. asleep. Prepare for very strong smell of sulphur and that your clothes will hold it for long. Overall a very impressive site, but be mindful of borderings when you walk.

Excellent trip to Geysir, well worth a visit. The walk is well paved so you can go with most footwear. you can probably spend up to 2 hours there. Several Geysirs there which burst at various different speeds. The most frequent is the ‘strokkur’. Free entry and parking. Lots of facilities near the area where you can use toilets, and a Geysir restaurant nearby.

Such a cool place to visit. Steam amd warmth coming from the erath everywhere and it smells like sulphur. The geysir is super impressive and the short hike up the mountain is really beautiful, with an impressive view from the top. We went by bus and spent about two hours there, absolute recommendation. Also much less people there, than I expected.

Wow! Saw real geyser, which erupts 100+ times a day and reaches 100 feets in height. Fantastic experience. And colours of the water settling down is beautiful.
The setting of this site is also unique. With having green moss covered mountains in the background adds to its beauty and makes it quite photogenic place.
One of the pool is of blue color due to sulphur content.
Site is free to visit. Ample parking. Nice cafe nearby. All in all its a great place to visit. And thanks to the management to keep it like that.

A great natural attraction with lots of parking and free access. The Strokkur Geysir will erupt every 10-15 minutes so you don’t have to wait long to see it.

Despite many tourists, very beautiful to see. The great geyser is unfortunately not more active, but there is a small one that performs every 5 minutes on average. I have been there for about half an hour and have seen more than 5 geyser eruptions.

Great place in Iceland. Geysir - a geyser located in southwestern Iceland. Its name gives rise to the name given to this type of thermal springs around the world - 'geyser'. The word Geysir comes from the Icelandic verb geysa, a word with Old Norse roots. Geysir is located in the Haukadalur valley, on the slopes of the Laugarfjall hill

Great experience and a must see in Iceland. Winter may not be the best time for a great view; with everything covered in white, the erupting water may not be clearly visible.

An amazing experience. The heat builds up the pressure and explodes. It's a lifetime experience. One can keep watching over and over.

Very neat place to walk around and explore, it was crowded near the erupting Geyser so be prepared for that. There's food and a gift shop across the street and plenty of parking.
