Puffin and Friends

We loved this place! It’s currently only open on request. The owner gave us a private tour and told us about all the animals in the area. It’s a family run museum and you can feel that in every detail of the exhibition :) all videos were taken by the owner himself, which is truly amazing. The VR show was also super nice! Thanks so much for the lovely tour!

A lovely family-owned museum where you will learn everything about these fascinating birds in a beautiful arrangement. But it also raises awareness of the environmental challenges they and other Icelandic species are facing right now, and what Icelanders are doing about it.

Extra points for being welcomed by two teenagers of which one was the daughter of the filmmaker who built the museum. :-)

Highly recommend. Really interesting for the whole family. Guided tour from the owner. Reasonably priced compared to other things to do in Iceland. Nice to know you're supporting their good work helping to protect the environment and wildlife.

The museum was a wonderful experience. If I could I would take my classes there. The pictures are breathtaking and the 3d experience is awesome. It seems small but it's bigger on the inside :)

A wonderful local exhibition featuring many documentary videos, exhibits and virtual reality puffin encounter. Great guides and specialty gifts inside.

Very informative, absolute wonder to find up in the north during my trip. It has puffins (among other birds), environmental issues, and a polar bear with information on all of them.

Very nice exhibition. The 360 degree Videos Arena impressive. Shows mich mir Khan puffins (e.g. seals, icebears, whales, oceanic pollution), very friendly employee

Liebevoll gestaltet Ausstellung über Puffins mit vielen spannenden und interessanten Details. Der Besitzer gab uns eine private Führung und hat uns alles detailliert erklärt. Ein muss für alle die sich über Puffins und andere Tiere von Island informieren wollen. VR-360° Kino war mega.

Musée fermé pendant la période hivernale mais possibilité de contacter la personne qui peut l'ouvrir sur demande (entre 12h et 13h pour nous). Très gentil monsieur, passionné de nature et de macareux visiblement. Il réalise lui même les vidéos présentées, de belles images. Visite guidé par le propriétaire (en anglais) très instructif. Visite qui se termine par une vidéo en VR, très immersif !

A faire absolument! Le propriétaire a ouvert ses portes spécialement pour nous et nous a fait une visite guidée. Les images sont époustouflantes et le contenu unique.

Sehr informativer Ort über Puffins und auch über Islands Geschichte dazu. Der sehr freundliche Inhaber bietet auch eine kleine Führung dazu. Der Besuch und das 360°Grad virtuell Reality ist der Hammer. Sehr empfehlenswert. Eintritt waren bei uns günstige 1750Isk.

Ganz tolles kleines Musuem, in dem wir ganz viel über die Tiere Islands erfahren durften. Ganz tolle Videos und zum Abschluss noch ein beeindruckendes 3D-Erlebnis mit VR-Brille. Sehr zu empfehlen!!!
