Kvernufoss bílastæði

A bit overshadowed by the Skogafoss just around the corner you will find Kvernufoss. A smaller, but also very pretty waterfall.

And this parking lot here is as close as you can get. You can park here or by the nearby museum. The fee is the same and you can pay by QR-code or inside the museum.

It was late afternoon and not many visitors around anymore. Just a handful. So finding a spot was very easy. From here it's about a 15 minute walk to Kvernufoss.

Great little water fall that is way less crowded than the nearby skogafoss. Got married here so I could be biased. Only about a 10-15 minute walk from the parking lot.

Incredibly gorgeous, quiet walk with remarkable views and stunning waterfall. Worth the 10 minute walk!

Please keep Kvernufoss as simple as it is atm. No real tourist paths and fences to follow, just climbing around and walking behind this beautiful peace of nature.

Wspaniały wodospad !!! 30 min spokojny spacerek wzdłuż rzeki !!! Mało ludzi

Schönes kleines Tal mit Wasserfall, wo man auch dahinter gehen kann.
Großer Parkplatz, welcher für Besucher des Museums oder des Gift-Shops kostenlos ist, ebenso die Toiletten. Für alle anderen ist beides kostenpflichtig. Ich empfehle einfach zwei, drei Postkarten o.ä. zu kaufen.

Achtung: Um zum Wasserfall zu gelangen muss man über eine kleine Leiter klettern, um den Weidezaun zu überwinden!

Située à quelques pas de Skogafoss, cette cascade plus petite est magnifique et beaucoup moins fréquentée que sa grande sœur Skogafoss. Un vrai coups de cœur pour cette cascade où la nature a encore le dessus sur le tourisme de masse ! Étant moins bien signalée que Skogafoss il vois faudra certainement utiliser Google Map pour la repérer et accéder au parking prévu.

un peu difficile à trouver le chemin pour la randonnée mais il suffit de passer au dessus de la clôture par un petit escalier
