When we arrived, I knew it was going to be nice. It was so peaceful and serine in the surrounding area and inside. The upstairs loft was perfect for my husband to take a nap and recharge. The furniture felt a little wobbly for what it was and it was very hot inside and only way to combat the heat was to open windows which lets lots of wind through the place. So we didn’t get much sleep I’m afraid. The breakfast we paid extra for was amazing. Came on a wooden tray, with so many options, breads, meats, cheeses, yogurt, pastries, juice, jams, honey, it was delightful. I wish we could have stayed longer than only 2 nights, but it was very clean and comfortable.

Nice, clean, quiet little cottages. Saw northern nights first night. Our only complaint is the shades are sheer, so even when drawn people can see right in, even in bathroom.

Lovely cabins, super well equipped, calm, and well situated. I cooked diner so we could enjoy a cosy eve with netflix offered on a big tv to recharge between adventures. Loved our stay !

One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed in (and we've traveled and seen a lot over the years...). SUCH a cute tiny house, so well taken care of, so fancy, family friendly, warm and cozy. Wonderful breakfast. Smack in the middle of nature with view on a waterfall from the bedroom window and the most beautiful sunset and sunrise views (because of the location). We were lucky to also experience the Northern Lights dancing in the sky while staying there. Magnificent. It's not the cheapest accommodation but definitely worth the money. We stayed there as an extra treat for our honeymoon but will defenately book this again once we go to Iceland.

Definitely recommend to stay here. I would also suggest to book directly with the owners on their website very flexible people, and very comfortable cabins as well. I believe most of the cabins are of the same size. There’s a bedroom on the first floor, and there is also additional bed that can sleep two people on the second floor, which has a little slanting roof. We are absolutely the best light show of the northern lights from this place while sitting inside.

Our stay was absolutely beautiful - the pictures do not do the experience justice. We had our breakfast delivered in the morning and it was a wonderful selection of foods to get our day started - absolutely perfect! We booked our stay through a travel company that did not share check in information with us - when we arrived confused on how to get in, I messaged the owners of the hotel and heard back in minutes. Amazing and quick service, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Stunning cabins very close to the waterfalls. Incredible details throughout the cabin, they thought of everything! Beautiful furniture and decor including robes for everyone. Bring your own food/drink. You can also pick up sandwiches and snacks from nearby waterfall snack bar to bring back as we did for dinner. We had an amazing stay here and hope to return one day.

We stayed at the cabin for one night. It is beautifully designed, with all the necessary amenities and with gorgeous views of the waterfall. Loved the serenity and we can only highly recommend the place.

I am between providing a 4 star or 5 star review, but will tip it up to 5. It’s probably like a 4.25.

Overall was one of our favorite stays in Iceland. The cottages are so unique, it was really fun to stay here and I’m so glad we did! I would totally recommend to anyone staying in the area.

A few notes:

1. The cottage fits 2 adults comfortably. 4 adults would be a very tight squeeze and wouldn’t be a comfortable stay. There is very little storage space to stow bags for 4 adults, and the upstairs head clearance is very low.

2. The breakfast was good, and I’m glad we did it, but it was expensive at about $30USD per person. For that price, I would expect coffee, eggs, potatoes, bacon, etc. What we received was not worth the money. But honestly I’m still glad we did it. I would recommend to management lowering this cost, offering some better options, and overall finding a better way to offer this service.

3. Make sure to have a plan for dinner. We picked up some stuff at the grocery store during our drive over, but even the grocery stores can close quite early in the evenings. I could totally see someone driving out to the cottages without food for dinner, and no options.

4. The beds are decent, but could be more comfortable.

Overall:
I think for how expensive the place is, they can afford to provide breakfast for free and make a few other improvements.

That said, we did have a lovely stay here. The cottages are so cool and I would totally stay here again.

Amazing cabins about a mile from the falls (I you like walking, it's possible to walk to the falls, but you do cross the large road). No services (they leave a key box, no food service), but stop at the grocery on the way in and get provisions. Absolutely would recommend for a night or a base camp to explore more near by.

Wonderful place to stay. Close to the ferry for Westman Islands and Seljandfoss waterfall. We were supposed to have a breakfast included but never got one delivered. The cabin next door did. That may have been an error on our part. We could have contacted the owner after the first day. But we really didn’t need it. We had coffee. I’d stay here again.

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at cabin number 5. We had really high expectations for this stay given the price and we were not disappointed. The cabins are set in a beautiful location, just minutes from one of the main waterfall attractions in Iceland. The space was impeccably clean and the linens provided pristine. The cabin had plenty of nice touches including a switch to turn of external lights (in case of Northern Lights), coffee machine and pods, great quality TV and bath robes. The parking is allocated to each cabin and very easy to get in and out of. We had breakfast for €19 each on the first day and it was delivered at 9am and plentiful. I highly recommend Seljalandsfoss Horizons as a place to stay!

Great location, cozy cabins, very clean and well-equipped. The service team is doing an awesome job. We could even check-in earlier due to an upcoming storm. Extra tip: they offer a breakfast that will be brought to your cabin. Highly recommend to go for it.

If I could award 6 stars I would have. A slight hiccup with access was sorted by a quick phone call(thanks to nearby youth hostel). The external view was deceptive but once we got inside we found everything to be immaculate and I slept in the upper area with open window at head level which felt like I was sleeping outside. The view also incorporated 2 waterfalls!

A truly amazing location and lodge! We had the easiest check in and a fantastic stay with wonderful, lovely made breakfast, that was delivered to our door. Next to the luxury lodge lays the Seljalandsfoss waterfall that is worth a visit! As we learned, if you want to taste the best tuna and salmon Sandwiches, eat them next to the waterfall, amazing taste and amazing view!

Beautiful little cottage right next to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. The cottages are brand new and are nicely designed, using the limited amount of space as good as possible. Free wifi, modern tv with netflix/YouTube, bluetooth speaker if you want to listen to some music. Kitchen has all you need ( microwave, no oven). Bathroom is nice and has a good shower. Overall we had a very pleasant stay!
