Got takeaway food only. Ribs and chips were a little pricey but delicious so not too fussed. Good customer service too and can sit to charge phone while waiting for the order.

We just stopped for food. Very accommodating. We wanted a hamburger with beef. It wasn't on the menu but they made it for us anyway. Lasagna was excellent. Lamb burger was excellent.

Wonderful staff, clean room (we stayed in the family room), easy access to waterfall, good breakfast, and delicious dinner. Would highly recommend - easy drive to Vik.

What hospitality should look like. Not only the place was very nice, but most of all, the staff was utterly welcoming, professional, smiling and available for help. Made me feel home.

I came back after 3 years and the place was even better than I remembered, with an even better menu.

The bar manager is an absolute treat and an example of how every hotelier should represent a business.

Only came for the restaurant (did not stay here). The food was really high quality, we had the lamb shank with root vegetables and lamb sauce. The lamb was tender and not overly fatty (which lamb can sometimes be). Vegetables were well cooked and the lamb sauce was delicious. A bit on the pricey side like all things in Iceland. We also had chocolate cake for dessert was good.

You're in for a treat if you've booked here. 3.5 years later and I still can't get this experience out of my head. Quality room, even better breakfast, and (obviously) an unforgettable view. Hotel Skogafoss was the nicest and priciest place I stayed in during my Ring Road trip back in 2020 and hospitality was fantastic and price was worth it. Their dinner menu is actually impressive too. I recommend the chicken Caesar salad with fresh croutons.

Needless to say, the best thing about the hotel is its location, it's right by the waterfall. You just need to take a 3 min walk and you're in front of the Skógafoss. I saw the moonlight with a partly clear sky and took that opportunity to walk to the waterfall in the middle of the night because of the location of this hotel, it was amazing. Now coming to the hotel, it was a nice hotel with a cozy room. They have a shared coffee machine for the guests. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant which had some amazing food (I tried arctic Charr, fell in love with it). There is enough parking space. I'd totally recommend it if you don't mind staying away from the towns.

Great overall. Literally a short walk from the majestic Skogafoss waterfall. Although the stay itself wasn't the most memorable for me, I don't remember having any complaints. The location is 11/10

We just stopped there to eat. The food is delicious. The presentation, the staff, was very warm, welcoming, and very fast service. They should get 7*. The atmosphere and the view of the waterfall while eating it does add to the value. There is a camping site next to the hotel as well. Compared to other places we ate, is not a very pricey place. Totally recommended having lunch there with a beautiful view.

Clean, hospitable, delicious cuisine, and the northern lights were on fire every night we were there in November - right outside the front door!!! Amazing!!!

Came for lunch when visiting the waterfall. Amazing burger good portions everyone was happy. Couldn't have asked for a better view looking at a Glacier and waterfall while having lunch !

Surprisingly great restaurant! Popped in for a drink after hiking and ended up staying for lunch: chicken sandwich was very tasty (though it fell apart), great lamb burgers, and good soups and salads. Everyone in the group enjoyed our lunch! The service was also very good, and the view from the dining room is great.

Staff was awesome helpful,, friendly, versatile. About 100 yards walking distance to Skogafoss fall. Restaurant on site food was delicious. There's a bar too. Breakfast was good buffet style included with our room reservations. There are several other falls once you walk up the 500 stairs. Amazing views and Walking trails.

Had a veggie burger here & liked it! Was not the burger-bite you hoped for (it’s more soft), but the pickle and onion makes it really nice. More then enough fries as well. Paid 3000sk for burger+fries. You have to order & pay at the counter and you’ll get your drinks with you. They will serve the food. Enjoy!

Nice spacious room in a prime location to visit the falls! Literally walking distance, we loved it. And the included breakfast was amazing.

Skogafoss hotel and restaurant is a stopover for travelers on the southwestern 🇮🇸 Icelandic sightseeing route. Beautiful small hotel , modern design , beautiful . The restaurant is always crowded. If you arrive late, you are very lucky to find a table. Otherwise, buying food to take away is also not a bad choice. The food here is delicious, fresh, and very tasty.

The place was good and had helpful workers.
They gave me lots of information about the weather and what I needed.
The breakfast was really good. Lots of food were there.

I booked just one day. And the day after storms came. But I had to go to Reykjavik. I wasn't able to make up my mind to go or stay. 1 Road had been blocked so I extended the reservation at the same price that I paid(it was the 31st of Dec so expensive than yesterday)
After 1 hour I paid, and the weather looked good even the orange alert announced. So I asked the receptionist if I can cancel my booking. The time was 12:10. Fortunately they canceled my booking and refunded all my money.

We stayed 2 nights here and would highly recommend it. Although the room was small, it was clean and perfect for what we needed. Location is AWESOME! Breakfast is delicious. Staff so friendly and always smiling. Thankyou!

Great location where you can walk to both Skogafoss and Kvernufoss. Rooms are a bit small but overall a good hotel. The restaurant is nice and the food was very good. Breakfast is fine too.
