Such a great experience!! Leia and Tino were knowledgeable and had a lot of great information about the area and some of the local wildlife. We were on the water for a little over an hour, and they made sure everyone stayed safe and happy. The hot chocolate afterward was perfect and was especially delicious after braving the wind and chilly water!

Best way to see Kirkjufell!

Our kayaking tour started off with changing into dry suits and locking all our personal belongings in the office. Then a leisurely kayak to the base of Kirkjufell whilst the sun slowly settled behind the mountain. We stopped for a break at a beach and took lots of photos. Finally we returned back to the office and were rewarded with delicious hot chocolate and cookies.

Our guide Léa radiated positive energy. She was very patient with us, giving us little nuggets of wisdom about Mt Kirkjufell, local wildlife and culture. When my friend got too tired to paddle, she pulled out a tow line and assisted her to complete the tour, all whilst looking effortless lol.

Tip: wear socks/ warm fitting pants/ long sleeved fleece layer which will be comfortable under the dry suit. It gets pretty chilly on the water even when it’s quite hot on land.

Absolutely unreal experience. We did the midnight sun tour and the views are worth every penny. You go around Kirkjufell and the harbor and get to see the sunset as you kayak. Gardarr (the guide) is the friendliest and most informative tour guide. Can’t recommend this enough.

Great kayaking adventure around Kirkjufell with Leía from Vestur Adventures. Tried a type of seaweed and appreciated the hot chocolate and cookies when we got back. Equipment all in good condition and safety for those new to kayaking was good. Thanks.

Did the midnight (actually 8pm) 2 hour kayaking tour in the bay. The surroundings are breathtaking and my guide, Thori (might have misspelled his name), was very friendly and even gave us hot chocolate and cookies after! Highly recommend.

Totally amazing. Eeverybody else went to see the volcano, so we had a private tour with the owner. He is a native who really knows his country well. Whenever our untrained muscles needed a break he entertained us with facts and stories about Iceland. We absolutely recommend it.

We came in September and had a very nice experience. Underway a seal came lurking at our kajak! Greatest view of the most famous mountain of Iceland! Good material and very friendly guide. Definitely recommanded kajak trip!

Outstanding fishing in a breathtaking spot with a real local! I had a wonderful experience with Gardar. He runs a well-managed business on the beach in this pleasant town. I learned a lot about Iceland during our chats on the water. In my fishing time, I caught 4 fish, 3 cod (including one very large one) and a silvery smelt like fish. The Bay was pleasant and calm with the mountain and glacier in the background. I highly recommend this delightful experience.

We enjoyed the 2-hour Kayak tour. Tino was a fantastic guide and shared insightful local information. It was a lot of fun and would strongly recommend this tour to if you want to explore this quite place in Island.

We greatly enjoyed our midnight sun kayak last week! They easily accommodated our party of 7 with just 1 day lead time. They provide everything, even a waterproof phone holder. It was a nice touch coming back to shore for some hot chocolate too. We had both kids and adults on this tour.
