Hotel Langaholt & Restaurant

Lovely place at a stunning location. Our room had an amazing view. Very friendly, warm people, who took such great care of us. They made us feel so welcome and they really put in all the extra effort, like checking our car tires to make sure we were safe. Very delicious food. Would absolutely stay here again. Very homey atmosphere.

We were traveling around the island for two weeks and part of our itinerary was an overnight in Langaholt Guesthouse. The hotel is on the coast with an open view of the horizon. The room was small, comfortable, warm and had a lovely view. The door leading directly to the outside was a wonderful surprise.

The food offered in the evening buffet was all homemade and tasted WONDERFUL! My husband and I both agreed that the food tasted much better than the buffet food we had the night before in Reykjavik at double the price.

We were both quite disappointed that we had only one night here. It was as lovely experience.

This was one of the best valued hotels we stayed at during our vacation. While the rooms do not a TV, that provide to be one of the best things about the place. We were able to REALLY relax and enjoy the experience. The food was excellent as was the staff. We will definitely stay here again soon.

Best value, only stayed one night on our drive around. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Our room was very large and comfortable- and it was ok without the tv - as we watched the golfers go by, walked about and tried to watch northern lights- no luck for us but met a few fun individuals who were also wandering about in the dark😄Food in the restaurant was very good. Very quiet spot.

My first time at this hotel. It’s a very good location here on the south part of Snaefellsnes Peninsula, that is one of the most beautiful part of Iceland. I know this area very well as I grew up on the other side of these beautiful mountains. The hotel is new. The room that I am in is big. Bathroom is going size with good shower. It’s clean. Good food and breakfast. The staff is helpful. Here are some photos from my room and the hotel.

I spent 10 days in Iceland and stayed exclusively in hostels except for the one night I stayed here, and it was such a treat. Room was clean and quiet and exactly what I needed. The complimentary breakfast the next day was a huge spread of meats, cheeses, different kinds of fish and homemade bread, fruit, etc. I should have taken a picture, it was so lovely.

The hotel comes with a reasonable price for their rooms and Service. The staff was nice and everything was tidy and clean. It has a really great breakfast. The dinner is also nice to have, but if you arent eating large amounts you may find it expensive for the ~50€. You find other Restaurants in the area to go out eating though :)
There is a Golf place nearby, or you can enjoy the ocean which is just 10 minutes walking distance away

Quite good hotel for 3 stars and compared to other places in Iceland. Room quality vary – we had two rooms, one nice, spacious and with a good view, and another was tiny and stuffy. Good breakfast and nice people.

We just had lunch at this delightful restaurant. The bread (pumpkin, sesame seeds) and the olive bread were delicious! We had the very tasty mushroom soup and buttery smooth pollock fish. The flavors exploded in our mouths. Plus, the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant when you’re in the area.

It is on a farm out of town. The large rooms has lovely view and there is space around you. Most friendly service I received so far. The food are absolutely fantastic. Dinner buffet and breakfast, all special, tasty, lovingly prepared food. Today is day 13 of my trip and this was the best service and food I experienced so far.

We came here for a meal. We were desperate as we were in the middle of nowhere and very hungry. The staff were super accommodating and the food was lovely. It was an authentic Icelandic experience with very tasty traditional food, even including live music. I well recommend this hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was awesome. The place doesn't have any light pollution and you would be able to enjoy the northern lights if you are lucky. The breakfast was amazing and definitely recommended if you are looking for a stay on this region.

We stayed in the newer area of the hotel for two nights for our wedding. The room was honestly the biggest and nicest room we had for our entire week, and we stayed at four different hotels - most of them in Reykjavík. I especially loved the shower, the balcony and the large windows overlooking the mountains and ocean. We saw the northern lights from our bed the first night … so cool.
The owners were gracious and even left us champagne in our room for us as a nice surprise when we came back from our long day in the cold. The food was buffet style and all made right there - incredible variety and very delicious.
On my wedding day, there were zero issues with us getting ready and having our guests come into the hotel to help us. We did our first look right outside by the entrance and played a game of cards in the lobby. They were so accommodating - would definitely return for a stay at Langaholt.

Dropped in here last minute as the only place open late evening. With 3 starving teenagers in tow.

Wasnt expecting much, but the hospitality and food couldn't have been better.

The owner had a private music function in progress but warmly welcomed us to join them.
The chef's fish stew was delicious.

The guesthouse is located near the sea and the glacier. From our room (227) we had an amazing view! The staff are super friendly, the dinner and breakfast buffet was really good and the room was clean and warm!

This is a guest house on a 9 hole golf course. It has lovely views in all directions. It also has ample parking. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with either a terrace or a balcony.
The restaurant is very good as is breakfast. Stand out are the staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful. The only minor downside is that some rooms (Rooms 12*) are a long walk from reception and down some stairs. but a car can get closer to alternative closer entrances. Recommended

Very clean, well maintained areas. Rooms. A little small but nice!! Food was great!

We enjoyed our one night stay, as we were driving around the ring. The room was good, the service was great, and the restaurant food was excellent. I recommend this hotel.
