Bjarnafoss

Beautiful waterfall with amazing views of the coast. If you get close to the fall, you can see the basalt columns behind it.

The path from the parking lot to the viewing platform is very accessible, even for people with mobility issues.

We went on a sunny day with little wind (20km/h). Took our time to go up, enjoy the views and go down.
Time spent ~45 min.

If you are just stopping at the viewing platform, then 15/20min would be enough.

You can get up close through several uneven trails, on the right side of the watercourse, after the bridge/viewing platform.
Be careful if you choose to go up and be mindful of the weather conditions.

What a pleasant surprise this was. Wasn't even in the long list of attractions we had planned to visit. But it is a very understated waterfall. I hiked all the way to have a closer look and feel of it. And on a clear day you can get a view of the far side from the top. We could even get a glimpse of Budakirkja which was closer to the sea.

Beautiful falls with a nice short hike to fantastic views. If you go past the bridge it gets muddy but well worth it

Beautiful waterfall! I recommend wearing hiking boots. My boyfriend and I made the mistake of wearing sneakers and we regretted it halfway up.

Schöner Wasserfall
Der kostenlose Parkplatz ist direkt nebenan. Entweder kann man den Wasserfall vom Parkplatz aus bestaunen oder einen 5 Minuten Spaziergang machen, um ihm etwas näher zu kommen.
Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall als kleinen Abstecher! Als wir im Oktober da waren, war auch nicht viel los

Wirklich schöner Wasserfall! Super einfach zu erreichen, großer Parkplatz. Natur pur! Wirklich wunderschön auch die Umgebung. Geeignet für jedermann. Für den anstrengenden Weg bis ganz nach oben habe ich (als unsportliche Person) nur 20min gebraucht. Und es hat sich wirklich gelohnt! Wanderschuhe sollte man aber schon tragen, der Weg bis ganz nach oben wird steinig und uneben. Das war definitiv mein lieblings Wasserfall in Island - und wir haben wirklich viele gesehen.

Urokliwy wodospad. Do pewnego momentu podejście wygodną drogą, potem można się wspinać śliską, piaszczystą dróżką. Najlepszy widok jest z dużego kamienia tuż przed końcem ścieżki.

Toller Wasserfall und sehr gut von der Straße aus zu erreichen. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Parkplatz.

Bardzo urokliwe miejsce

A nice waterfall if you happen to drive by on route 54. Easy to park. There is a path up the mountain to get closer. Giving it a 4/5 because there are so many waterfalls in Iceland and it is comparable to Dettifoss, Godafoss or even Dynjandi

Fallegur foss í flottu umhverfi. Það er auðvelt að finna staðurinn af því fossinn blasir við frá veginum til Arnarstapa. Frá stóru bílastæði er þægileg ganga upp að brú yfir ána
Þaðan er flott útsýni. Þeir sem vilja fara alveg upp að fossinum fara yfir brúna og fylgja slóðinni upp bratta hlíð ,þar þarf að sýna aðgát
sérstaklega ef slóðin blaut.
Fallegur staður og flott útsýni.
Vel þess virði að ganga þarna upp.
