Kirkjufell Guesthouse

This guest house is fantastic! With comfortable rooms, hot showers and great kitchen facilities. The views are breathtaking, and it's just a short drive from town. Perfect for a relaxing break in Iceland. The staff are super friendly and welcoming—they made me feel right at home. Plus, when I wanted to extend my stay, it was no problem at all. Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel for the price. Unfortunately cloudy night for us and very windy (no lights), wish we had more time here though. Rooms with a view (big glass windows) highly recommend.

A tempted area got still able to access in winter time. Self check in is easy. The suite is roomy with a good size of sitting space. The view is good.

A wonderful place with wonderful view. We were upgraded with no extra charge for the apartment they have, no 6. No doubt that this is the best. Spacious, well decorated, well equipped kitchenette. The little town near by is a 5 minutes drive and has a supermarket and a few restaurants.

The location is a bit outside Grundarfjörður.
It's a quite area. It's just 5 minutes drive to supermarket.
The mountain viewnfrom room is absolutely great.

2 bedrooms apartment is large, clean and comfortable.
Kitchen has everything that you need.

Very nice place to stay to see the peninsula. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and have everything you would need. Lovely that they have a free laundry room for guests. The view of the mountain is outstanding.

We stayed in the Guesthouse side of the establishment. Views were super beautiful, kitchen was well-equipped (I liked that there was filter coffee prepared at around 8am every day) and spaces were clean. Shared toilets were also spacious.

Great little place with beautiful Mt. Kirkjufell right out our front window! We got a 2 bedroom room with a full kitchen (including a stove) and very comfy beds. A small flock of sheep greated us in the morning outside our back bedroom window 🙂 very close to Kirkjufell Park (where we took great pics) and to Whale watching in Grundarfjörður and the Snælfesness peninsula. And the price is very reasonable.

Great rooms. Floor heating. Well designed. Well equipped.

3 kms from the city. So you have to plan your dinner & bkfast. We normally found it difficult to do so. And were lazy to move out once we settled in.

Very comfortable rooms with amazing views and verry modern kitchen. Worth the 10 mins drive from the town just to stay in such an amazing place.

We stayed apartment #1. It was spacious and well equipped. The best thing of this guesthouse was the view...! Also you can see and hear birds and sheep in the morning

By far the best guesthouse we stayed in on our weeklong Iceland trip! We stayed in the apartments and everything we need was there! It was very clean, spacious, and had a great view! We love the microwave and dishwasher that was included. Bathroom was very nice as well. It was an east check-in and checkout process. Wifi was also great and had full kitchen supplies!

Super nice and clean place with a very calm energy. #12 room was excellent, with private bathroom. Views directly from the room were like a dream. Common kitchen, very complete with all the necessary modern equipment and extra food, coffe, te... for everyone in case you need some. We are very happy to choose this place between the other, TOTALLY RECOMMENDED. 👍

Our room was large, quiet, very clean and comfortable, w/ a really nice kitchen and separate entrance from the back of the property. Parking right outside the door! Our family of four was very comfortable. The owner and staff are super-nice, professional, accommodating, and generous. The property is huge and beautiful; management invited us to hike/explore it, but we didn't have time. Highly recommended!

Excellent guesthouse in a beautiful location. I never see such a super clean guest house before. The hair dryer is cleaner than most of the 4 star hotel. The property provide lots of stuff to ensure super convenience to the travellers. All the toys are equipped with batteries and are clean and functioning well. Very considerate owner. We are really impressed!

Really enjoyed our 2 nights in this guesthouse. The location is great with views to Kirkjufell mountain and there is so much land to walk around the sheep and horses…you really feel the nature with the animals and the mountains around you. The kitchen in the apartments is great and is a must since there are pretty much 0 restaurants nearby.

The guesthouse is well maintained and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfy, and the host is very friendly! Near to Kirkjufell mountain, nice view 🤍

Feels like you are at an outpost at the end of the country. A room with a view on Kirkjufell is well worth it. We spent the entire evening watching the sundown and waiting for Aurora borealis to start. Common kitchen is convenient and the staff is helpful, although as s first impression they might look a little grumpy.
