Guesthouse Rauðafell

Really enjoyed my experience there. The room was very comfortable, clean, warm, amazing view, and the manager there- named Fillip- was friendly and super informative. He also makes great pancakes. Can’t recommend it enough. And their dog was super friendly too !

Very nice place to make an overnight. De room was great. The bathroom was big with a very nice shower, and the view from the dining room was super to eat your breakfast. The owner has some dogs that are really friendly. The oldest one always want to play. Take your time to play with them. Time spent with a pet is never lost time. I really recommmend this place and I would book it again

I totally recommand this place! Even though the prices are a bit high, everything else is perfect : the host is super welcoming, it is super clean, it’s warm and comfortable, the place is beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious (it’s included!!!).
We really loved staying here!

We are French, We slept one night in this guesthouse and I sincerely recommend! The landscape is beautiful, our room has a view of the snowy mountains, The rooms are quite small but warm and welcoming, breakfast is already ready when you get up, there is a chance to see northern lights. I forgot to ask for the first name of this young tall blonde handsome man from the Czech Republic, he is a fantastic man and he does a very good job, thank you for the advice of places to visit, we go to the Yoda cave thanks to you! Clean guesthouse. Small rooma. Excellent pancakes with breakfast! Enjoyed our stay

The place was clean and the owner was very nice 🙂 breakfast consists of delicious pancakes, toasts with usual toast staff (cheese, ham etc), skyr, coffee, tea, couldn't ask for more. Bonus points for a well equipped kitchen!

Very nice, clean and comfy place, with a beautiful landscape. Easy to find. Not far for the main road. The breakfast is included. The room was spacious and you can use the kitchen of the house. Very friendly owner

Great house, comfortable beds, and nice shared bathrooms. Heiða was kind and put together a really nice little breakfast with coffee, toast, skyr, hot pancakes, and fresh milk from right next door.

Friendly, clean, helpful. It was a great comfort for us to be alone at home due to the storm. If it weren't for the storm it would be a quiet place. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

Located just at the edge of Eyjafjallajökull you will find this beautiful and cozy guesthouse. The rooms here are nice and clean and the house is recently renovated. The hosts are very nice people and has good knowledge about the surrounding area. You don't need a 4x4 car to access this guest house, a regular car will do just fine, just take it easy on the gravel road that leads up to the house (about 3 min drive from the main road). Search for Rauðafell 1 on AirBnB and you will find this lovely place.

Stunning waterfalls, hiking roads and the famous black sand beach located close by.
