Amazing bed and breakfast - good views, excellent location with free parking, and very friendly hosts (who give good recommendations if you want them). The rooms are spotless and very clean. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Make sure to book one of the rooms with a balcony, the view is worth it!

One of the best B&Bs that I've been to. Tom and Francisca are the nicest and most helpful owners that you can find. The rooms are clean and neat, the breakfast is amazing with delicious handmade goodies that Francisca prepares herself. If I'm back to this area, I wont think twice where to stay.

Everything you could want from a BnB. The entire place is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the location is ideal. Hallstadt is far too crowded to stay in and way more expensive. The hosts are extremely nice and accommodating. We will come back.

We super enjoyed our stay here especially that the owner were very nice and accommodating--thanks to Franziska and Tom. They gave us recommendations which places are worth to visit even before we arrived. The weather was not super nice during our stay but still we managed to enjoy the views. I personally like the area--it's quiet and super calm. We still have a lot of things in mind so we'll save them for our next visit. Here's my photo enjoying my coffee in the balcony btw. ❤☕

Every aspect of this hotel is so nice. The owners are very friendly and willing to share with you. The view of Lake Hallstatt and surrounding mountains from the balcony is so satisfying and relaxing.

The town of Obertraun is much quite and less crowded than Hallstatt, while you can still easily visit Hallstatt and Dachstein nearby. Definitely a great choice to stay if you visit here.

The best apartment I've ever been! Clean, comfortable room with an amazing view. Our hosts were nice and friendly, they helped us in everything. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely great experience, at a fantastic location, with an amazing view, and wonderful hosts. Would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Hallstatt, the lake, as well as the nearby mountains and trails, or for anyone wanting to relax. The room was comfortable (still can't get over how beautiful the view was!), and the breakfast was also delicious.

It is the best stay during my trip! The room was so clean and the hosts are really nice. They were very helpful and kind. The home made jam in breakfast was so delicious! Next time i will definitely visit again to stay!

Bedroom is perfect size for bed and breakfast, clean and comfortable. There is a balcony and view to the lake.
The breakfast is complete and there's nothing to complain about.
Around this region there are many lakes to visit and some other attractions. It's very worth it to come.

I highly recommend Haus Salzkristall! Not just because of great location and a good starting point for hikes and sightseeing (mainly Hallstatt and Dachstein-Krippenstein are very easily accessible - by car, boat or on foot), but also for our great hosts who took care of us the whole time. The amount of effort they make to keep their guest house always clean and their guests comfortable is unimaginable!
