The tour to Hallstatt with Salzburg Panorama Tours was truly wonderful. Hallstatt's beauty, with its stunning mountains, serene lake, and quaint village, left me amazed. Our guide, Sonia, was fantastic; her friendly attitude and deep knowledge made the trip memorable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Austria's scenic landscapes.

[Note: I have posted a similar review on Google Maps for the tour company, which is why it was flagged as repetitive]

A beautiful area to explore, the sparkling lake, quaint villages and tall mountains create a most magnificent and eye pleasing setting. There are boat cruises departing every hour from Hallstatt, or one can rent small boats, paddle boards or giant swans to enjoy the view from the water.

This popular little town is amazingly beautiful, we did a day trip from Wien and didn’t regret it. Took the folicular up and view was spectacular to say the least. Had a great time.

One of the most beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen in Austria and Europe. The lake is surrounded by mountains from all sides, everything is green over there. If you take the funicular to the top, you will find the salt mine which I highly recommend as a 90 minutes experience. From the top you can see all the lake. I used the stairs back to the lake, it almost took me 1 hour to go down.

The view of the houses on the lake is really beautiful. It will be a nice place to spend Honeymoon in the summer

I visited a place in January that left me completely awestruck. Nestled between majestic mountains and tranquil blue waters, it was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen in my entire life. To get there, I had to embark on a scenic journey via bus and train, and I found myself constantly peering out of the window to capture every breathtaking view.

Upon arriving, we had to pay a little extra for a boat ride towards the city, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The place had a romantic feel to it, with snow-capped mountains and crystal clear blue water. We even got tickets for the cable car, which offered us a view that was nothing short of breathtaking.

Once we reached the top, we were spoilt for choice with the many places to explore. Our first stop was the salt mine, where we learnt about the oldest salt mine and had a blast sliding down the miners slide. We even got some amazing pictures while we were at it.

After the salt mine, the walk towards the view point was simply magical. And the view from there? Let's just say it was so beautiful that words cannot do it justice.

In short, this place is an absolute must-visit in a lifetime. Every penny spent is worth it, and the memories you create will last a lifetime

We visited Hallstatt last week. Beautiful town and nice scenery. No outside vehicles allowed in town, must parked outside and walk or ride shuttle bus into town (complimentary if you book a hotel to stay in town, they should provide details).

One of the most amazing places I've ever visited.
Surrounded by mountains, it is so beautiful.
You can take the ferry to cross the lake or you can do one hour walking.
You can just go towards obertrau that you will reach hallstatt in about an hour. If you like to walk, watching that wonderful scenery, please do it.
It's also good to take the ferry, but mine was really so crowded that was hard to take a good photo without people in front of you.

A beautiful scenic spot.

The water in the lake is clean and you can take a boat, but I was alone
I didn't think I would be in trouble if I fell.
If I got on the boat, I might have taken a better picture.

There was a cute duck.

There was a restroom at the entrance, but there was a line.
Many people found it difficult to insert coins and took time.

Beautiful lake and town. We got to visit for the day while in Salzkammergut. We experienced the funicular, the wonderful 2 hour tour of the worlds oldest salt mines and a walk through of picturesque Hallstatt. One thing we noticed about Hallstatt and Austria generally- everything closes early on weekends and sometimes not at all on Sundays. We unfortunately seemed to return from the mountain to Hallstatt when restaurants were quiet and shops were closing, so if you are looking to eat while there make sure to do it early! We parked just outside the town in the paid parking, approx €2.40 per hour and a 5 minute walk into the town!
