Landhaus Koller

Terrific stay here with an amazing view of the Austrian Alps from our hotel room. The room was exceptionally clean and beautiful Alps inspired interior design. The service in the hotel restaurant was very good. Our waitress was very nice. The breakfast also great, with a variety of fresh fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, high quality teas and exquisite cold cuts, as well as warm meals like eggs sunny side up and bacon and sausages. The staff was very friendly. The location is great for hiking to see the two beautiful lakes and coming back to take a dip at the pool to cool off and relax. I highly recommend and would return again!

We recently spent a week in the Saltkammergut region exploring Saltzburg, St Wolfgang as well as Gosau where Landhaus Koller is based. We enjoyed every minute of our Austrian trip, but there was something special about our stay with the Kollers that I cannot quite define.

The hotel with its many period features from the early 1900s is a delight in itself. The views of the rose-tinted peaks of the Dachstein mountains during dinner add to the sense of magic and combine with the excellent cuisine conjured in Herr Koller’s kitchen to make for unhurried evenings spent on their outdoor terrace. Fires are lit around the grounds for those who may want to extend their time outside and this contributes to the sense of warmth and bonhomie that characterises the Kollers brand of authentic Austrian hospitality. Everything is presented beautifully and perfectly and yet one feels very much at home here.

This is a perfect base from which to explore Hallstatt and the rural idyill that is Gosau, scramble up peaks like the Grosse Donner Kogel and swim in the jewel of a lake that is the Vordere Gosausee. But you can just as easily stay in all day, relax beside the pristine swimming pool, watch the donkeys frolic and dream of dinner.

Whatever you do, Manuella and Gottfried will ensure that your stay is unforgettable.

Cozy, quaint, and nostalgic - located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood with views of mountains and lakes. We had a lovely time here and wished we could stay longer. Their dinner out on the deck was really well prepared and we were able to enjoy and lovely view of the landscape while eating.

My husband and I spent a few days at Landhaus Koller during a vacation in 2019, when we were newly dating. We loved it so much that we chose to get married here four years later, even though we live over 8,000km away. This peaceful corner of Austria is unlike anywhere else we've been, and we wanted to share it.

The Kollers were so kind and helpful as we planned our event remotely. We knew from experience that the food and hospitality would be top notch, so we trusted Manuela's and Gottfried's suggestions, and we're so glad we did. Every detail of the weekend was beautiful, intimate, and perfectly executed - exactly what we hoped for. If you are thinking of hosting an event here, don't hesitate!

I know other reviewers have already raved about the food and the beautiful location, and for good reason - they are outstanding. But another thing that sets this hotel apart is the staff: from the owners themselves to the kitchen, dining room and housekeeping staff, every person is so warm and welcoming that by the end of our wedding weekend, they felt like part of the family. However long you stay at Landhaus Koller, you'll wish you could stay longer.

This is a lovely hotel with very helpful management and a beautiful view of the mountains. They were very helpful about providing gluten free options.

It's an awesome quaint and cozy hotel with extremely nice staff, beautiful location, great food and clean rooms. Loved it here.

Unser 4-tägiger Aufenthalt im Landhaus Koller hat ohne jegliche Einschränkung 5 Sterne verdient. Hervorragende Küche, traumhafte Aussicht auf den Gosaukamm, gemütliche Zimmer, ausgesprochen angenehme Servicemitarbeiter und eine sehr freundliche und empathische Gastgeberfamilie. Es war sehr schön bei Ihnen, wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen, die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und stets bemüht, das Essen ist ein kulinarischer Hochgenuss. Einfach ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.

Wer nicht Halbpension bucht, ist selbst schuld!

Eine Umgebung, die entschleunigt. In einem Jugendstil-Jagdschloss (kein Lift!) ist das entzückende Landhaus Koller mit Blick auf den Gosaukamm.
Die Familie Koller sind perfekte Gastgeber, die sich um das Wohl ihrer Gäste ausnehmend zuvorkommend bemühen.

Neben den gemütlichen Zimmern, dem unschlagbaren Ambiente ist die Küche noch separat hervorzuheben.
Mit regionalen Zutaten, Kreativität und viel Liebe werden Menüs auf Haubenniveau gezaubert.

Sowohl im Winter (Schigebiet Dachstein West), als auch im Sommer die perfekte Basis für einen erholsamen Urlaub.

Familie Koller sind goldige Gastgeber. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und willkommen. Herr Koller ist ein hervorragender Koch und verwöhnt die Gäste jeden Abend mit einem 4-Gang Menü. Er legt viel Wert auf Regionalität. Das Haus ist ein ehemaliges Schloß und verzaubert mit tollem Ambiente. Elektrotankstelle vorhanden - Lift jedoch nicht. Man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf den Gosauer Kamm.

Eine verträumte Umgebung zum Entspannen und die Natur genießen. Im Einstigen Jagdschloss vergisst man vollkommen die Zeit und kann einfach mal das jetzt und hier genießen. Sehr gut geführter Familienbetrieb mit einen Qualifizierten Personal. Komme gerne wieder.

Ein außergewöhnliches Haus mit exzellenter Küche, ruhigen Ambiente, sehr professionellen und freundlichen Gastgebern. Wir kommen schon das zweite Jahr in Folge, da man hier abschalten und die Seele baumeln lassen kann. Swimmingpool ist top, in der Nähe gibt es auch einen Sportplatz und die Infrastruktur ist sehr gut. Danke für die schöne Zeit. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir hatten eine Radrundreise gebucht und dabei 4 Hotels um den Dachstein besucht.
Das Hotel Koller, war unsere letzte und mit Abstand die beste Unterkunft. Das Personal ist sehr professionell, stets freundlich und besorgt um seine Gäste. Das Essen ist sehr ausgewählt und wirklich ein Gaumenschmaus. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und konnte eine gute Stimmung machen, selbst als wir ein Glas zerbrochen haben, war er gut gelaunt und konnte darüber lachen. Für das Dinner, auf der romantisch eingerichteten Terrasse, wurde uns eine warme Kuscheldecke angeboten.
Die Zimmer und das Hotel sind auch tatsächlich so, wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Die Dekoration geschmackvoll und stilvoll gewählt. Ich komme selbst aus dem Dienstleistungssektor und möchte daher im Urlaub auch freundlich und professionell behandelt werden. Das ist den Mitarbeitern hier sehr gelungen. Das einzig was Schade ist, ist das die stark befahrene Straße gleich daneben liegt. Aber vom Personal, Essen, Zimmern, Ambiente und den Möglichkeit her, waren wir mehr als zufrieden.
