Berghotel Rudolfshütte

Travelled here with kids in summer - we had a lovely stay for the value. Had spacious family room. Amazing location and view. The hotel had swimming pool available all day and saunas from 15.00 as well as entertainment rooms for children. Outside the hotel is small playground, hiking routes around are nice but pretty rocky, only few of them suitable for kids - I recommend to check in advance which route to chose.
Staff was nice and international. Food selection for dinner was sufficient, however most of the food tasted like processed/semi-finished products.

Bringing STROLLER up to the mountain/hotel NOT recommended, hotel isnt barrier-free and no routes around are suitable for stroller.

This place is really a paradise for any mountain enthusiast!
Hotel-like experience, but with the vibe of an alpine mountain hut.
Staff is nice, everything works like in well-oiled machine. Hotel is kids friendly.
Buffet-style breakfast and dinner is fresh, tasty and variable.
Sauna is unique with its view, there is also a pool to relax.
Winter outdoor activities vary from skiing on slopes using lifts, to small touring in the valley, or for the experienced alpinists - there are many surrounding 3000m high peaks and glaciers to enjoy with ski touring.
There is even an indoor climbing area. Overall, great experience, recommended.

This hotel sits on a wonder location. The view is indescribably beautiful, the air is clean no city noise. A perfect place to relax and reduce your stress level. You can hike in every direction you see with your eyes. Rooms are clean and spacey. Service is very friendly and welcoming and the food is very delicious.
There is also a self service buffet, if you don't want to spend the night you can hike all the way up to 2315 meters from the parking lot or you can take the gondola lift, extra charge.
If you want to be amazed and to be stress free, I recommend this place 100%, i will definitely re-visit.

Amazing hotel at 2300m, very friendly staff you feel welcome. A good point to start your adventure either by climbing, discovering the glacier world or just relaxing in the pool or sauna. Great landscape!

Been there with a Big group. The food was great, meat and vegetarian, also special wishes for gluten-intolerant people have been served.
The service was good and friendly, also competent in matters of hiking in the surrounding mountains (weather, needed skills, ...). The rooms where nice and clean, there is a wellness relax area with sauna and pool. Also clean and nice, and the view from the 2 saunas is amazing!
I had no complaints in the 4 days we have been there.

Beautiful mountains, great food, sauna with mountain view windows.
Stay on the small hut bellow for half the price (€39 vs €80).
Much better than in a big hut. The only disadvantage is you will have to move 50 meters to sleep.

If you even only are slightly interested in mountain walking you need to see this place. Hotel is really ok, but when you see how everything needed to be transported up then it's great. Sauna and swimming hall, newly renovated. Perfect place to get your thoughts on the day's walk and tomorrow's exploration. Good buffet restaurant, food was delicious. Beds could be a bit better, but you sleep well anyway. Early evenings and and early mornings are best for this location. Take your kids with you on this journey.

I was surprised when I first walked out from gondola into the hotel corridor. Wow, this hotel have a great and safe position on the glacier and beautiful sightseeings arround from dinning room and from awesome SPA. Rooms are cozy and nice, food is tasty.

Amazing place. Beautiful views. Big and warm swimming pool. Very good meal. Great place to spent your holiday with children, 3 indoor room for kids, Lego set.

We spent there last week of January 2015. With good weather the place is fantastic - exactly like on the photos. When there're clouds, wind and falling snow you can use only two slopes (mostly the one to Mittelstation). When sunny you can ski from Medelzkopf practically alone. Perfect place for families with kids. Instructors from the Ski School are good and helpful. Hotel staff is very nice, food and rooms are OK. Wi-Fi could be better but one can always bring his own router. We hope to return.

its german without translation, but here the first paragraph to get a glimpse what's the point:
With the terms Rudolfshütte, Weißsee, Enzingerboden, Tauernmoos and Stubachtal, many hikers and mountaineers combine alpine experiences, untouched landscape and a perfect mountain world. But the world wasn't always so perfect there. Barbed wire and ruins still remind us today of a time exactly 60 years ago when forced labourers and concentration camp prisoners worked there in the freezing cold and heat, under unimaginable and life-threatening conditions, at power stations that are still in use today.

We had lunch here. It's so incredibly beautiful there! The schnitzel was very tasty

If you like to enjoy mountains in a quiet and friendly atmosphere, the Rodolfshütte is the place to be in both summer and winter. We have visited this place already 4 times, and the 5th reservation has just been approved.
We can't imagine a year without at least 1 week of charging our batteries at the borders of the Weissee.

Amazing views, many hiking possibilities also for amateurs, very good buffet, afternoon snacks, animation. The staff is helpful and friendly.
