We were pleasantly surprised by our 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 teens).

The apartment was super clean, comfortable and quite lovely. We stayed in apartment 6 which had a gate to access the frontage for an easy walk down to the harbour.

We highly recommend this apartment and would book again. Great price point. Exceptional hosts. Clean rooms. Gold star accommodation.

Great apartment, definitely feels like home away from home. Everything is in the apartment that you could want it is extremely clean. Very comfortable and could have stayed longer than two nights. Owners are super helpful and friendly.

Very clean and spacious. We had a lovely 2 nights stay. Used the washing machine and was able to dry my clothes on the washing line, there was a dryer available. Friendly owners.

I was thoroughly impressed when staying at Castaway with my family in December 23. Management was lovely, the rooms were immaculate and the location with Strahan was within walking distance of everything. Highly recommended .

What a lovely place to stay. It was very clean inside and out. The 2 bedroom apartment was a great size and had everything you needed. There was a BBQ area that we didn't use but it's there if you need it. It has a guest laundry that has 1 washing machine and a dryer that i did use it was nice to be able to do some washing after travelling. It was $3 per machine but a $1 from each machine is donated to the guide dog's tasmania so i was happy to pay it.Staff are very friendly. I would recommend this accommodation to people.

We just stayed here and recommend it friendly and very clean. If possible book straight through the owners will be going back here one day soon.

The accommodation was very spacious. The rooms were well set up and the place was very warm. The lounge and dining area helped. We were able to do our washing and the owners were very helpful

A lovely local place to stay the night in a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 adults. The owners were lovely to accommodate us arriving quite late after a day of exploring Tassie. Strahan is a quiet sleepy coastal town so make use of the fully equipped kitchen or be sure to arrive and dine before everything closes by 8pm sharp. It was thoughtful of the owner to run the heater ahead of our arrival so the apartment was warm and toasty on our arrival. Roomy, spacious and clean - would recommend.

Close to everything. Very clean, comfortable beds. Free DVDs and games for kids when it rained. Very helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

What a gem of a place in Strahan! The apartment we had was large, spacious and had everything we needed. It was modern, tastefully furnished (although basic) and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern, and having the accessible bathroom was good for a family with a young child. Although our apartment was the closest to the road, it was quiet enough, with only a few cars passing noisily. We recommend cooking your own meals in the well supplied kitchen as there isn't much in town to eat if you don't book well in advance. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A great place to base yourself for exploring Strahan and surrounds.

We arrived at Strahan in miserable weather after a long 5hour drive. Our 2N stay at Castaway allayed our dampened spirits of the bad weather affecting our plans there. The apartment was very clean and had all the essentials (and more) for self-catering. There was good water pressure for hot showers which we welcomed, hailing from tropical Singapore. A heater in the living room and electric blankets kept us warm from the cold. The surrounding area was very peaceful and quiet and we could get the rest we needed. The owners have done a wonderful job with the upkeep of the apartments and we recommend staying there if ever you are in Strahan.

We also took advantage of the 10% discount off tickets for the World Heritage Cruises (which you can get if you stay at Castaways and write them directly to indicate your interest). Upon our checkout, our host was kind to suggest places we could stop for a visit. We took his advice and spent time at Nelson Falls and The Wall along the drive back to Hobart. We genuinely appreciated this.

We had the privilege of spending time at the Castaway Holiday Apartments but alas not enough time. Clean and comfortable with everything you need these apartments are great. Wonderful hosts made the stay even more memorable. Loved the electric blankets to take the chill off before having the best night sleep in a while.

Absolutely fantastic value for money. Staff are incredibly helpful and we highly recommend staying here. The two bedroom apartment has everything you need and more. Comfortable beds, a full kitchen and a large living area. Located just down the road from IGA and just up the hill from the water/town centre, it's likely the best spot to stay in Strahan.

Enjoyed 3 night stay thoroughly. Extremely clean and comfortable. Good location and very welcoming hosts.

Very clean, comfy 2 bdrm unit with full kitchen, heater & electric blankets. Quiet, short walk to town, close to supermarket. Jim the host was very friendly and gave great tips for places to visit in Strahan & on our way to Stanley (all were excellent stops). I was able to swap a book I finished with a book in reception.

We would highly recommend this accommodation. The apartments are large, well appointed & very clean & there are also laundry facilities available. It's a 5 min walk to the city centre & harbour & just around the corner from the IGA. The hosts, Jim & Bev, are so friendly & helpful with information. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen. 32 inch TV, full size fridge freezer. A three minute walk to the local IGA supermarket, and a few extra minutes to the centre of Strahan with it's shops, restaurants and the river cruise terminals.
