Highly recommended. The arrival to the accommodation was seamless and very convenient. Room was clean and extremely comfortable with a wonderful array of breakfast options. The view was beautiful from the room; we travelled with our dog “Taco” and he was very welcomed and accommodated for. The location was excellent and not far from town, waterfall and walkway. Definitely deserve a 5 star ⭐ rating.

Laid back, comfortable roughness and perfect for what we needed. We booked one of the Adventure Suites with our 6 month old infant. There was just enough room in the bedroom for the supplied cot and some good storage to unpack our suitcases. We were kept cozy with good heaters in bedroom and living space, and the owner was very responsive when we had questions about booking with a baby, and a minor problem while we were staying.
We made good use of the camp laundry and dryer!
We loved the location being between Strahan and Regatta Point, it made us feel like more of the Gordon was open to us!

Lovely place and wonderful room. Very clean with a small kitchenette. It's a shame we only spent one night here, we could have stayed much longer.

Couldn't recommend more. Comfortable bed, amazing view, service was above and beyond, it really was the little things that made the difference. Guests laundry with washing powder, a breakfast basket and a little Twany Port to top it off. Kids play area looked like fun.

My husband and I spent a night here this past weekend for our first wedding anniversary. Overall it was a great place to stay. We stayed in the loft above reception. The room was very spacious and tidy, the shower & spa were great and the bed was comfy. We had decided to cook our own meal for tea rather than go out, however discovered the bbq on our little private balcony was out of gas. This was no worries at all - a quick phone call to staff and in no time there was a very friendly and polite gentleman knocking on our door with a new gas bottle. We had no other interactions with any staff whilst there and didn’t order breakfast for the morning (although only because we forgot to by the 9pm cut off) so I can’t comment on either of those things. If I was going to make any recommendations it would be to better maintain the property - there seemed to be a lot of junk and rubbish laying around and floating in the little pond. And at least one more glass in the room is definitely needed! We were mixing our own drinks for the evening and had to take turns using the one appropriate glass provided.

Stunning location, comfy beds, epic service (the fridge died and they had a new one in the room in 10 mins that they had had pre cooling just in case something like this happened!). Great for anyone here, but kids would absolutely love it with the playground and rabbits.

You won’t regret booking one of these chalets. They are so comfortable and the staff go out of their way to make your time there special.

My favourite things about Gateway to the Gordon were
The basket of goodies and breakfast options.
Two bath mats!
Hot shower with great pressure and good shower heads.
Good quality and supply of toiletries.
Fabulous view.
Free guest laundry.
Smart TV.
Friendly kitties.

We are staying in a chalet booked via air bnb, for the price its absolutely amazing, clean, cosy, great views, comfiest bed away from home we have EVER slept in, nice big fluffy towels, smart tv, well equipped kitchen with full oven/stove and breakfast provisions each day and serviced with fresh breakfast towels and rubbish taken out, we have paid double the price on airbnb and been left sorely dissapointed so we went for the cheaper option this time around and have had an amazing experience, nothing fancy but we are cosy and more than comfortable. Great stay 👍

The thoughtful host had the heater on before we arrived so we walked into a toasty cabin after our drive. The space is large and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure excellent. We found the kitchen perfect for what we needed. Can’t recommend highly enough. We’ll stay here again when next in Strahan.

I had such a wonderful stay with my dog. Room was beautiful, carefully cleaned, amazing view, and had so many lovely details such as the beautiful throw rug and putting the heater on in anticipation of my arrival. Lots of treats for me (wine and breakfast!) and my dog (toys and biscuits). Staff were thoughtful, with plenty of pet friendly suggestions. Can’t rave about this place enough.

We stayed in the cutest A frame cottage, with a gorgeous view. It was warm and cosy and we really appreciated the great wifi and smart TV, as well as the basket of goodies like cereals and spreads. A lovely stay!

After a day at cradle mountain and a scenic drive to Strahan, our studio was cosy and welcoming with amazing views. It was clean and tidy with the perfect amount of space for our family of four. Our youngest called dibs on the bottom bunk, but thankfully the eldest was happy to have the top bunk with a view. There is a very convenient laundry space, but my wife took my bad advice not to save her place next in line with her bag of laundry. When we arrived back from dinner, a sour thing putting their things into all of the available machines announced “I’m sorry darl’ I have 3 bags holding my spot” nice. Who would think I would have chronicles of laundry wars, but here we are. This is no reflection on the gorgeous facilities. In the morning we woke to a lovely dawn and a rainbow. The breakfast was essential cereals and milk, with condiments with a perfect amount of variety. We will book here again. Thank you for the great memories

Beautiful place to stay! Gorgeous little cottage, everything was clean, well stocked and tidy. Perfect place for children - my little one loved exploring the gardens, walking over the bridge, seeing the lamb and rabbits and playing on the trampolines! Tia was very friendly and her girls were so kind and gentle as they played with my daughter.

We stayed at this little gem last night in the Loft which ticked every box. It was incredibly clean, well set out, quiet and had a great view from the balcony. The reception lady was your typical friendly Taswegian who couldn’t do enough to help us out. But the best thing was the complimentary breakfast basket with all the goodies which made our stay all the more memorable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staff are wonderful, they even gave us a bonus breaky pack which was well equipped. Yes rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable with a great view. Would stay in the 2 bedroom cottage again next time we are in Strahan.

The management is new and I think the owners are very accommodating.

Spent the night here at Strahan.
If you're looking for a cheap accommodation, this is your go-to place! The room we stayed in is a studio room which has a bunk bed, a single bed and a queen bed.

It has a mini kitchen with cutlery, pots and pans, mini fridge, microwave, etc. We cooked our dinner and breakfast the next day. There's also a heater if it gets cold, a small TV, a beautiful view. The bathroom is ok, could be better tho.

Free parking, big area outside. Wi-fi is accessible only near the reception and inside the reception area. You can tell the owner that you want access so that she will leave the reception open.

I wish i took more photos of the room but I assure you that this place is good enough!

Overall, I love the place! Thank you for a great night!
