H&R Block

I was there a week ago for me and my wife 2020 tax. We were dealing with Linda. She is super knowledgable and experienced and also kind. She did our taxes in less than an hour and after that as I used to work in a company with provides some discounts for employees who want do tax with H&R Block she mentioned that and I got the discount too which was super. I really appreciate their effort for getting 100% customer satisfaction which is great!

Everything explain clearly. Tax expert was so knowledgeable and explain clearly and did everything to maximizes our tax return.

Good + bad:
bad: My emotional/chemistry (non-romantic) experience with the tax expert was not very good, but the service completed to my satisfaction, yes.
Good: She saved me the charge for an adjustment and told me the adjustment would not make any difference on the tax outcome.
Gift/suggestion to H&rblock: I recommended this to the Highland branch: They/h&rblock should add more or less high(er) levels of checking for "current core return is similar enough to recent years a,b,c." The software could log this in some sort of journal file or a popup can show one sentence to the tax expert or the software can popup some sort of report for printing/sending. I very much like it when I "confirm confirm confirm" that the: current core return is similar "enough" to recent years. That's an important statistic, h&r block should not miss it.

Located inside Conestoga Mall. Enter at the Winners entrance then turn left. Comfortable tax experience. Staff always helpful and friendly. Fee is high, $200ish for 2 returns.

Terrible service. I contacted Linda at this branch in early August, had slow communication from the start, but sent them all my documents, was told they'd take a couple days... and then never heard back.

I followed up several times via email and the online portal in September and in early October, and finally decided to use another tax service. I have asked them to cease access to my CRA account and acknowledge that they've received my request. Still nothing.

Wildly disorganized and unprofessional.

Worst Experience ever they didn’t have a clue what they were doing they missed so many tax credits that I could have gotten. They charged me over $500 to get them done. Never going back to another H&R Block ever again.
Boycott H&R Block, do it yourself or get someone that knows what they’re doing, any option is better than going to H&R Block

Awful service. Came in 45 minutes before closing and was told I couldn’t get my return done because the mall was closing soon. There’s no way a students tax return was going to take more than 10 minutes. Lazy workers.

Brough my tax in May, when back in July, it wasn't done. Never apoligies
