Papi's Seafood and Oyster Bar

Had a Sunset dinner here with friends and it was fantastic. The food was delicious. What a great atmosphere. We ate on the patio and the sunset view was amazing. Servers and hostess were wonderful. Really reasonably priced and great value. Highly recommend it!

Absolutely would come back. Great view of the sunset, fun cocktails, and really good food! Our waiter, Joshua, was so amazing and took care of us well. We were there for like 2.5-3hrs and he constantly checked on us making sure we were satisfied. GIVE THAT BOY A RAISE!!! He deserves one.

The patio atmosphere was excellent, with a great view of the beach. We ordered the Garlic Prawns, Thai-style seafood curry, and oysters. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The staff was also very friendly.

We had an amazing dining experience at Pappi’s last night! Joshua took care of us and gave honest and great recommendations on food and drink items. The ambiance was lovely- we were able to see the sunset over the bay from our outdoor table!

A great place to share a meal and have a drink with your friends. I recommend the oysters as they were sweet and juicy. Then the rockfish n chips that tasted very fresh, hot, and crispy. Our server recommended the chorizo pasta which was packed with flavour and very filling. To pair the meal you should get the farmers market.

This is a great spot to enjoy quality seafood right next to English Bay. We tried the happy hour menu items on the patio and it was a great experience overall.

The oysters and calamari tasted amazing, but the rockfish and chips could be improved with either more seasoning or maybe a pairing of tartare sauce. The service was also friendly.

The food was great, generous portions, reasonable pricing. Amazing views from the restaurant. But what really made our experience great was the staff. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. The manager, Barrett, took care of all of our needs. Would definitely recommend!

We visited the restaurant yesterday from Toronto. Im seafood lover and I was so amazed by the quality of food and atmosphere. I just had the best fish and chips in Canada! It was lightly battered, so you could taste a very good quality halibut. The oysters were delicious and fresh. The waiter explained about each type of oysters. His suggestions were great and accurate. The Tuna poke was amazing too. The wasabi mix sauce was so tasty. The location and the view of the restaurant are great, specially after a long walk around Stannely park or spending a day on the beach. Loved the vibes, the place and the quality of foods. Anything we tried were so flavouful! Highly recommend it!

Absolutely delighted with our dining experience at Papi's! We tried the calamari, prawn & chorizo linguini, and halibut fish and chips, and every dish was fantastic. The calamari was perfectly crispy and tender, the linguini was rich and flavorful, and the halibut fish and chips were simply the best we've ever had—light, flaky, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this gem for seafood lovers!

Papi's Seafood and Oyster Bar has delicious food and a stellar location. The food was a 4.5 and the view/atmosphere was a 5.

We ordered so many things off the menu. Let's start with the oysters. They had about 6 oysters on rotation, 3 from West Coast and 3 from East Coast. The Sunseekers are probably my favorite for the night.

The prawns in garlic butter sauce was heavenly with huge prawns cooked perfectly. We couldn't stop mopping up the sauce with our bread.

The white wine mussel fries were delicious and we finished almost every single one of them. There was only 1 mussel that didn't open properly so we left it.

The kale salad was probably the best kale salad I've had without having too much or little dressing. The perfect amount of cheese and a few cherry tomatoes.

The clams with Asian cooking wine and butter was my least favorite item. It was fine, but it wasn't memorable.

Everything tasted really fresh as well as the service being excellent.

The Caesar drink came with a raw oyster. Enjoyable drink that went with everything we ate, but a little light on the alcohol.

The view is the last thing I wanted to mention, which is my favorite close to English Bay. Whether you're sitting outside in the summer or inside by the window during winter, it's always gorgeous.

This area isn’t the most dog friendly with most patios not allowing dogs. We walked around and found this little gem, they had 2 patios and 1 they allowed our dog to join us. Brunch menu was very priced well, we had oyster’s, smoked salmon eggs Bennie and the rock cod fish and chips. Close to the water and beach, A-maze-ing Laughter statues and Davie street.

I love this restaurant, I have been twice because I loved it the first time. I ordered Mussels white wine sauce and fries twice, I love the Mussels and fries. The food was perfect and the sauce was excellent. My waitress has been twice Josh and he is an awesome waitress very kind and the best service. The ocean view from the restaurant is amazing. I will be back again. Thank you so much for your great food and best service.

A nice place to stop by after a stroll by the English Bay. Beautiful space, loved the mini booth that’s perfect for two. Ordered the lobster roll and some oysters - both were great options accompanied by a glass of white. Loved my choices, but also wished I could have ordered more. Probably the best fries I had in Vancouver too.

I live close by and cannot believe I haven’t checked out this gem! Happy hour is amazing! The oysters were so fresh I ordered them twice.
The fries… those little bitty ones that are kind of transparent but the crispiest, and tastiest, they were in abundance served with an amazing zinger of a house sauce! Well done 👍 I’ll be back!

I couldn’t see anything wrong with this place. When we entered, they immediately seated us with no hesitation. They also served us very fast and efficiently. They also prepared our food very fast, and all of these factors make their service a solid 5 stars. The atmosphere of the place was also amazing, we sat on the patio where wind was blowing and you had a nice view of English Bay. We had a couple items, most notably the calamari which was well cooked and well seasoned. Fries were quite good. Fish tacos were simple but amazing, with perfectly cooked cod. Coleslaw was a nice side aswell. This gives the food a 5 stars too, so I definitely recommend going here if you are in the area.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of the English bay. I love the decor. We had the clam chowder, oysters, and fish tacos. Everything was cooked fresh to order and was expertly made! The clam chowder was full of flavour and had generous servings of clams, mussels and shrimp. It was delicious and buttery! Fish tacos were pan fried, simple and fresh. Great prices for happy hour. Excellent service. Will be back!

Visiting Vancouver from Winnipeg, we had gone to a different oyster bar, disappointed with the service, the food, and price. Still wanted that oyster bar experience. Went to Papi's and was not disappointed. Our server Brenda was amazing recommended cocktails to us which were bang on perfect for what each of us were looking for. The atmosphere, the location, the price, the friendliness of the staff, perfection. We sat outside and got to watch the sunset over English Bay, perfect way to end our day! We will definitely be back!

Love coming here for happy hour. Love their fried smelt dish. And their oyster deals are good. Always fresh and delicious . On a sunny day, there's no better patio than this at English bay in the west end. Ive been here many times and will continue to this summer. Good food and service. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice patio by the beach

I've been coming to Papi's for a few weeks now. I came here one night when I was feeling lonely and had nowhere to go, but as soon as I sat, the servers and waitstaff made me feel at home and part of the family. The servers make you feel so welcome and they are so easy to talk to. The best part is getting to know the servers on an individual level, they are all so friendly and unique.....the OUTSTANDING SEAFOOD and ambience of a bustling beachside neighborhood is a bonus. The food is ABSOLUTELY worth coming here for.. BELIEVE ME....the oysters and everything else on the menu are 2DIE4...but it's the service and waitstaff that makes this place truly unique and special. This place is definitely my go to spot for fresh seafood and oysters. You'll have a heck of a good time at Papi's guaranteed!!!.

We happened upon this restaurant when staying at the nearby, pet-friendly, Sylvia Hotel. The atmosphere is cozy, modern, yet open. The food was amazing - try the smelt fries - wow! The staff were very nice, engaging, and attentive - they were actually interested in us as people. I would add, our visits were during the week, and we have no idea what this fantastic restaurant might be like on the weekends. We are returning to Vancouver again in a couple of months - and this is one of our "must go" stops 😊
