We had the Yorkshire, Lobster Poutine, and Thai Chicken. The Yorkshire was our favorite. The Thai Chicken is exactly what you should expect it to be. The lobster poutine was fantastic (it tastes much better than it looks 🤣).

The Guinness was poured right.

Service was awesome. Had fish and chips, it was so fresh tasting. Hubby had grilled cheese and soup, the sandwich was made with real cheese. Have drove past many times, will definitely be stopping in more often. 10/10

Nice clean restaurant and bar with the perfect room temperature in winter. There are two pool tables and the cues are straight.
Employees are very friendly and the service is in excellent timing. Ah, and the booths are the most comfortable.

This place was well out of the way for us, but definitely worth the drive! We were greeted and seated quickly. The server was quick to come to our table with menus and take our drink orders. She was helpful in answering our questions and came back promptly with our drinks.

We ordered the big wing platter (5 pounds of wings, with fries). The fries were the best I've tasted anywhere! We got 5 different sauces for the wings, and all were delicious! We will definitely be back, even though we live in Whitby (and drive by several wing places on our way here)!

Food was good nothing out of this world but a average spot to stop and eat . Our sever was amazing and respectful and food prices were fair would stop in again.

I have been a customer since the first day it opened. I find myself going through the front door daily unless I'm out of town. I especially like their wings. Lots of choices. Staff is great

Went there for the 1st time on April 14th....WOW.....The servers were beyond awesome, especially how they had to deal with mine and my dad's uncanny humor. The food was absolutely delicious, not one complaint from anyone at our table. As we were leaving we were already talking about when we were going to go back

We go there from Toronto to meet with family. Our server was great and probably not her fault, but our lasagna came out cold inside and out. They were busy, so we decided to wrap it and take it home.
We go to CJ in Newcastle every couple of months. We will definitely go back.

I waa caravaning with a group of 6 cars. We wanted to find a nice spot to sit down and have a meal and last minute a person found this place online.
It was a quiet Sunday evening when we stopped by. Without missing any beat they were able to accomodate 30+ people on the spot, we got seated, order taken AND gotten our food all within 40 or so minutes of being there. I cannot stress how impressed I was that they were able to accomodate such a large group of us so quickly.
On top of that! The food was honestly much better than what I'd expect for the price charged. For 14 dollars I got a salad, soup of the day and two wonderfully topped bread sticks. It was quite filling.
If ever you are in the area or driving through I would whole heartedly recommend.

This place has become one of my favorite places to eat. Their caesars are delicious and the food and staff are awesome!
I always leave with a full belly and smile on my face.

The food is tasty and portion size is value for money. Also the servers are very friendly.

The server was excellent. Very personable, quick and observant!! Welcome to Canada - she just moved here from Ireland!! The food was pretty good - standard really but the cooks made my dish to order so I gave them full star!! We would return!!

A+++ This was my first time at this restaurant and it was worth the trip. Food was great, staff was very attentive and prices were beyond reasonable. I'd highly recommend this location for anyone looking to have a pleasant meal experience. The only negative item was the music playing as it wasn't my kind and was rather loud but It's to be expected as they are also a bar and we were there after 8 o'clock in the evening. All in all a great experience. I'll be back to sample more of their menu.

Tried Castlejohn’s for both eat in and take out. The food was great, huge menu with a ton of selection. I tried the Philly steak sandwich with lattice fries for dine in, and the buffalo dip another time for take out. We found the service quick, the portions a good size, and the food hot, fresh, and tasty. 5 stars!

Have enjoyed many great meals at this location. Great servers! Only thing to improve would be the Cole slaw. It's too dry. Easy fix, though!

My boyfriend and I had a great meal here last week! I had the lobster poutine, and he had the clubhouse and onion rings. We will definitely be back here! The waitress we had get our takeout was super nice and very helpful

Nice sports pub with great food. I really liked the ravioli. The tables are spaced out. Great dining experience.

They have a big menu with lots of options and fair prices. Our service was good and the food was delicious.

Pretty loud inside, but best food and potions around. Couldn't say how often we've ordered from there or eaten there. Too many times to count
