Philthy Phillys, Canning

First time in. Register person was very friendly and helpful in placing our order, even helped us get signed up for a frequent shopper card.
Ordered two medium (8 inch) with all the veg...
One was the Big EH
One was the Peppercorn.

Though the veg was not put on the Big EH one, for whatever reason.. it was still so delicious I can't ding them for it. The meals both were 5 star worthy.
I have uploaded images... one clearly has the veg, the other does not..
Receipt clearly states veg for both.
Both were generous portions.. filling and so tasty. We will be back for sure!

A hidden gem with amazing service and food! A wonderful selection of poutines and other delicious stuff.

The staff are friendly and attentive, especially the owner. The food always comes to me piping hot and it amazing!

Oh my ! What a place , you come hungry and leave full and happy ! The portions are huge the food is fresh and amazing ; I went to the one in Newmarket ontario and then found this near canning and was extatic , the staff are friendly and fast and the food always comes correct , eat here you wont regret it ! They have locations in truro and halifax aswell !!! Prices are great too gor the amount of food you get I'm 6'4 and 220lbs and a medium sandwich filled me up but didn't slow me down either .. all food spots should be this good!

There is no atmosphere, it's in a gas station, the cheese steak sandwich is great though

The staff are super friendly and helped us find some stuff to do in the area and welcomed us to Canning. We had the burger, which was not greasy and cooked so well, and the fries and gravy. Chip truck style fries and gravy to die for. Makes me wish I was a local so we could come here more often.

Had an awesome experience at this location. Had a terrible experience at the Sydney location. Would highly recommend Philthy Phills in Canning. The staff went way out of their way to accommodate me and I can say with confidence that they understand how to properly LAYER a poutine so that all the good stuff isn't just on top where it's visible. You definitely get your moneys worth here. Please, please support this location and take note of how customer service should be done.

This place certainly knows how to make food. The staff is very friendly. They talk to you like your family. The poutine is so good and yummy! Lots of brown gravy, fresh-cut fries, and cheese curds.

This is definitely one of those hidden gem spots , definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the province.
Staff is extremely helpful , friendly and kind.
Food is cooked to perfection and you can tell they take pride in it , the portion sizes and prices are great as well.
I can't reccomend this place enough, I will be a return customer next time I am through canning.

Had an amazing experience with John (manager?) So helpful, polite and respectful. The food was filling and tasty! Highly recommend trying anything from the menu. Im from Halifax and we stop in there everytime we head that way, I hear rumors of a location coming to Halifax!

I googled where to get the best cheesesteak in NS and this place came up. We made a day of it and came up to try. Was AMAZING! I had the original Philly cheesesteak and pouting. The Poutine gravy was delicious, the fries were great!- handcut I would guess. The phillthy sauce is so good- not too smokey, or over bearing on the sandwich. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area or looking to make a day of it to the valley- drive by some pretty corn fields- and have an amazing lunch! The staff was so nice too, which is almost a rarity today so it was just an overall super pleasant experience!!

The cheesesteak is AMAZING!! Excellent fries too! Great service, exceptional staff, and very reasonable prices. Just delicious! And you just can’t beat the whiskey BBQ sauce! Highly recommended.

My husband and I were in for the first time today. The first thing that stood out was how friendly the owner (I presume) was. He ask about every detail of our meal to make sure it was made to our liking. I had the feta fries, I rarely give a 10/10 but omg, out of this world good. I also got the original chicken sandwich and it was also delicious, like dripping with flavour. My husband got the original poutine and Philly special. He’s not normally a huge fan of poutine but we heard it was good and he was not disappointed. The Philly, wow! We went to the look off to eat and there wasn’t much talking, mainly wow, omg, so good!! We will be back often! I can’t wait to try the other items. My husband and I have ate a lot of place throughout the Valley/Halifax/Dartmouth/PEI/NB and this will stand out as a favourite!

This was easily one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had (that includes the one I just had while I was in Philly). The staff were very helpful and friendly. This was worth every penny! I'll be visiting them on Quinpool in Halifax when they open for sure.

I will be driving from Halifax to get another cheesesteak sandwich here very soon.

Its hidden inside the gas station along with the Coffee shop so you would never know it was there.

Amazing food, great price, great staff.. I hope we have more Bike races up this way so I can stop in again

Absolutely amazing. The food was awesome and the service was pleasant! Had the donair burger, was messy and filling and above all delicious. Will definitely be back for more
