We visited the Yacht House via the boat shuttle from Boldt Castle. It was a very quick 2 or so minute ride.

It’s a lot smaller than the castle however it’s still pretty cool to see. The inside of the boat house seems more grand than the castle. There are a bunch of old boats to check out and a small section of the house for some of the workers.

Small, but worth it especially if you’re already out n about.

There is a free water ferry every 30 min to the Boldt island and castle(included it admission). Club has a very nice collection of antique boats.

I was a child last time I visited. It was nice to see that the boathouse is being restored and to look at the wooden boats stored here. There's so much info to read about the different boats and people from that era

The restoration that has been completed so far is just stunning. This is definitely a must-see historical gem.

We drove across the bridge to Wellesley Island and parked in the free gravel lot for the Yacht House. Bathrooms are clean and in the parking area close to the Yacht House. The ladies working there were adorable and helpful, sold us tickets to both the Boldt properties and made sure we caught the ferry almost immediately since we needed to return to the Yacht House and see it after the castle. The vessels there are gorgeous, with a little history of each. The residence for the captain's family is lovely and only a brief walk-thru. No food or drinks available at the Yacht House; but they're are both and a gift shop at the castle on Heart Island.

This is a great place to start your tour of Boldt Castle! There is a free ferry that takes you right to Castle after you tour the Yacth House, the website isn't very clear on that but it's there and it's awesome! the boats and they're very cool and they have the old quarters of the Yacht-Master which is very nice to see. It has bathrooms there also.

The Boldt Castle Yacht House is a museum that stores pleasure boats and racing crafts that belonged to the Boldt family. A paid admission will let you go into the boathouse where you can read into the histories of all boats. You can also venture into a few of the living quarters in the yacht house (with paid admission).

Ample parking in front along with restrooms.

A nice attraction full of vintage boats, motors and additional information on the rich boating culture of the TI region. The construction of the Boldt yacht house is impressive, with most everything in the building being original to its initial construction. There are also some entertaining rooms and living quarters open for touring through as well. The handwritten notes from Mr Boldt himself are fun to read through. I would wholeheartedly recommend making an hour for the Boldt yacht house if you are already visiting Boldt Castle. There is a ferry that brings you over to the yacht house from the castle and runs very frequently.

This is really awesome compared to 1983 when we visited the last time. It is now 70% restored. Very well done. If you have not seen it in 30 years it is a must see and revisit now.

This castle is stunning. They take the money they get for admission and use it to redo the castle. Grounds are on point, all the out lying buildings are an architectural dream. The castle itself has specific little things that you look for. Like in the library. Each individual wood plaque on the wall (made a border) are original and all different. The stained glass is beautiful. The kids play area where they had the old bowling alley ( in process of restoring) is unique. The people involved in restoring this masterpiece do an amazing job! Kudos!!!

Spend an hour (or more) enjoying the restored boats once owned by George Boldt or donated by others. The self-guided tour is well detailed with historic markers for each boat in the collection. Spend extra for the ticket to Boldt Castle. A short 5 minute shuttle ride will ferry you between the Yacht house and the Castle. It was a pleasure to spend time at this well maintained museum.

If you are visiting the castle don’t forget to visit the yacht house as well. It is beautifully constructed and many boats including racing boats of early days.
Also a living are and dining area are setup for display.
There’s a free boat ride from Heart Island in every 30 min. Tickets can be purchased together for both Yacht house and castle.

Great place for a family walk. Good picture taking spots and lots and lots of history about the castle and the 1000 islands. Its good to plan a trip for the whole day that way you have time to see everything. Boats leave every half hour ftom the docks so if you have to go then you only have a 30min wait. 2 levels of finished work 3rd level is unfinished but a good view of Alexandria Bay. The basement is pretty cool lots of twists and turns, pretty fun over all if your looking for a good day trip.

Quick visit add on to Boldt Castle. Very nice set up. Very beautiful place. Staff was really friendly. The displays are clean and self explanatory. Self guided tour is about a half hour. Could probably stretch to an hour if you watch the video and read all the displays. They have rest rooms!

A great historical landmark. A tad expensive at $13 an adult with includes boat ride to island, but worth the time to learn a tragic and sad story. The grounds were nice for a garden picnic.
