Amazing day! I went with my 11 year old and he insists that we have to come back next year. Miles was a fantastic captain who was knowledgeable, friendly and answered any questions we had.

Highly recommend buying the white shirts. They get stained from the mud sliding and make an awesome keepsake of your adventure.

We booked when the tides were at the extreme level, and were they ever! What a thrill seeing a massive wave, Cresting up over and come down, you are definitely living your best Jack Sparrow experience!

Our whole family had an amazing experience this July river rafting. It was a beautiful day and the waves were amazing. Our guide Ella made the experience exceptional….we all are wanting to book again next year. Hopefully we have the same guide!

Our family had a great time rafting and mud-sliding! Only two of us had been previously, decades ago. The kids had so much fun too (aged 9-11) even with a few “scary” moments. Our large group was accommodated and were able to stick together in one boat, which was awesome! Our guide Morgan was fabulous and made the experience all the better. Great personality, skilled with the raft, and knowledgeable! We’ll be back next summer and will be looking for her for sure! Thanks River Wranglers! — the Cyrs & family

Amazing experience! All staff were incredible and our guide, Ella, was exceptional. The kids couldn’t wait to jump and slide in the mud and we all had fun on the waves of the tidal bore. Definitely a must do experience.

We had an absolutely amazing time! Definitely recommend the 4 hour trip! Our guide Rachel was spectacular and so sweet! The second mudslide was fantastic and the waves were pretty intense!

Incredible day on the river with Miles (or 1.6km as we nicknames him!). Saw eagles, went mud sliding and cruised through chocolate milkshake like waves. Got wet and muddy and had a blast! Highlight of our trip. Warm shower at the end to wash off river mud was much appreciated. Thanks Miles and wrangler team!

Be aware you need to walk through sinking mud downhill to get to the river. Water shoes with tight closures or old sneakers are recommended. Being a crookie your sunglasses and a waterproof phone bag.

We had a fantastic trip with Miles! Our guide took us on a rip roaring adventure down the Shubie River. We got to slide in the mud, feel the tidal bore rise around our feet, and float with the incoming tide. Miles kept us feeling safe while enjoying bouncing in the waves.

This was by far the most phenomenal experience we had in Canada. My 10 and 12 year old daughters had a blast, and my husband, who is never impressed with anything, was hooting!! We went on the 2 hour ride which started with the mud slide. I originally booked for the one that starts with waves, and ends with the waves, but I'm glad we changed to this one. We were literally able to see Mother Nature work her wonders. It was absolutely incredible.. I was so overwhelmed by all the beauty of it. Thank you , Beth, for the best time ever! Also big thanks to the staff who are so kind when answering any questions, and so helpful when checking in. Definitely recommend! Be ready to get wet and muddy!

We had the BEST time river rafting with the Shubie River Wranglers! From the moment we arrived, t”we felt welcomed as Ruth greeted us in the parking lot and later offered to take pictures of us pre-rafting. The whole staff was friendly, informative and fun. Our guide MILES was delightful. He was helpful, skilled and informative and so much fun! He even gave us an extra last run up the rapids. We loved it-it was a real bucket list trip and I would highly recommend. Extra stars for Miles. He was first rate!!

Wicked day of rafting, constantly on the go and being entertained.

They will definitely go full send if you ask for it, and no the boat won't sink 😂 honestly it was the most fun Ive had in a long time.

Friendly staff, great service and a sick way to spend the day mud sliding and rafting.

Big shout out to Todd, awesome guy and great captain, made the whole day!

We had an amazing time. The staff are wonderful especially our driver Miles. He was so pleasant and answered all our questions. He made sure we got soaked and hit the waves just right. If you want a great experience and love the water. You will never experience anything like it. Playing in the mud was great. Swimming in the waves was so different than anything I’ve ever experienced. You can touch the ground but it’s like running at high speed on a treadmill. So thank you very much Miles for making this an experience I’ll never forget. Also thank you Emmett for letting me take a photo with you. Just one bad thing is you need better signage. Thanks again

This was so much fun! I've river rafted a few times before, and this is very different. I had no idea how fun sliding in the mud was going to be, but I was like a kid at a waterslide running back up to get another lap after each slide 😀

The rafting itself was also thrilling, fun and very wet. The water was way warmer than I thought it would be, but I would definitely take the jacket they give you as the wind was pretty cold when the boat was moving.

Also note that it will probably take at least a couple of washes to get the mud out of anything you wear (maybe it never washes out?) so don't wear anything you will mind being stained.

5⭐ Visited Aug 20th 2023 . Although there was large crowd River Wrangler operated smoothly and efficiently!

We booked the 4 hour great experience watching the tidal bore come in! The mud sliding was great paired with swimming in the river . Operators were friendly and knowledgeable.

We had the pleasure of having Olivia who took the time to remember our names (8 of us over the course of 4 hours)

We left on time and got back a little bit early .

Great price , lots of parking, reception for cell service is poor. Facilities on site for showering 🧼 washing off the mud and portable potties.

We will be returning for sure !

Went on Sunday and did the 4 hour trip with my 9 year old. Best time ever! This was a real highlight of our trip. Bob our guide was warm and friendly. He found us lots of eagles to watch in the short breaks that you are waiting for this or that. I am not sure if my kid or I had more fun mud sliding but she had the best time making mud angles. The rafting was fantastic and you get to really enjoy the ride as there is no paddling. Can’t wait to come back to NS and do it again!

An exciting and thrilling once-in-a-lifetime experience! Great for all skill levels as long as you can hold on to the raft. The guides were so nice. Semi-enclosed shower stalls are available on-site for after the mud-sliding and rafting. Rain jackets and footwear is available in varying sizes to borrow if you don’t want to get your own clothes dirty.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH SHUBIE RIVER WRANGLERS FOR OUR FIRST TIDAL BOAR RAFTING IN NOVA SCOTIA!!! Beth, our guide, is amazing! All staff are nice and wonderful! Their tour is so organized and informative while keeping it playful and adventurous! We did Tidal Bore Rafting and Mud Slide, a 2-hour is worth it, but we’ll definitely try the 4-hour next time for sure! We can’t believe this is just an hour away from Halifax! See you again, Shubie River Wranglers team!

If you go, make sure you request Miles as your guide—he'll definitely go the extra "Miles" for fun! Highly recommend this experience!

So much fun, staff and facilities exceptional, and even though we booked on a lower tide day our pilot Miles made it amazing, he was driving and explaining river details, soaking us and never missed a beat!!
