Laverne's Eatery

If you are visiting the 1000 Islands/St. Lawrence area, this is the place you want to go for breakfast/lunch. Eclectic menu items and probably the best avocado on toast with honey, lime, feta and almonds with a side of deliciously creamy scrambled eggs, I’ve had. Really. House smoked salmon on a bagel with a poached egg is a winner too. There are both inside and outdoor dining options. Can’t wait to go back.

Laverne’s is my go to spot for breakfast/brunch with my partner whenever we’re in town. Family owned and ran - they always serve us fantastic food with a smile and always handle the rush of tourists coming in quickly and courteously.

The Brisket Hash is by far my favourite.

Being a Texas girl, I’m not much of one to jump into things too quickly, but all it took was one single bite of my pancakes and one single bite of my hash browns to pop a proposal out at Ray with all the sincerity of my heart. My cousin (also from Texas) got the braised beef breakfast burrito, and she declared it to be the best burrito she’s ever eaten - breakfast, lunch, or dinner! You cannot go wrong by eating here! Ray’s mama would be proud of him! #bestfoodthissideofheaven

Delicious breakfast at Laverne’s! Cute patio to eat outside and good tunes blasting on the radio. Staff looked a little overwhelmed but still highly recommend! Delicious coffee too.

Had to stop for breakfast while heading to Montreal and we found this place. I would say we had a great experience with very nice friendly and welcoming people. Food was excellent yummy and presentation was on spot. Will definitely go again.😊

I came here with my mother and we had the best experience! The food was cooked right in front of us and was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and the cafe itself was clean and welcoming.

This place is so cute. We stopped in for lunch. The owners are also making the food. Everybody was so nice and friendly. There was a bit of wait to get all seated and served but we weren't in a hurry. Food was also unique and tasty. Ordered some kind of pita and egg(first one on the menu) and it was filling enough. Don't get tap water. I'm not used to whatever they use in the region but it's not the same as Ottawa and has some weird aftertaste.

After spending a night in Gananoque to visit friends, we were looking for a place to have breakfast and happened upon Laverne’s. I’m really fussy about my breakfasts as it’s my favorite meal of the day. Laverne’s did not disappoint. Awesome, good strong coffee, perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, hash browns, excellent bread, and a side of pancakes for my husband made for a delightful start to our day. The people were friendly and there were also some delicious looking things in the display case if you’re more into pastries and quiches for breakfast. Totally worth it.

Excellent brunch -- Delicious!! We will certainly visit again. We were in a big hurry when we visited over the Christmas holidays so we could only order their grab and go items. I promised the kids then that we would return for brunch. Given the five-star reviews for their French toast, we'll be back again soon to sample that too!

Can I say bravo! We went there on the long weekend, and they looked slammed. They were out of a couple of items, but the way they handled was absolutely beautiful. They were so polite and managed things I could not wait for a visit again to their lovely family run place. Food was out of this world! I don't know how they pulled off this amazing food with so much pressure. My wife and a friend of ours have dietary restrictions, and they were so accommodating I wish I could give them 6 stars!

Laverne’s is fast food style eatery where you go in or line up to order and they will bring your order to your table. Don’t be deceived, the quality of the food is excellent, there’s a patio, tables and chairs in front, and small sitting area inside. Parking is available on the street or on the right side of the patio. There’s an art store selling t-shirts and other gift items in the same space. It is small space so it gets crowded, so be there early or visit during slow hours. But if you line up you won’t regret it.

Really yummy lattes and delicious filter coffee. My daughter has milk/dairy allergies and the vegan chia bowl was a huge hit. Even for an 8 yr old! Yummy breakfasts— piping hot turnovers were incredible. This was a daily stop on our trip.

Laverne’s is one of our favourite brunch spots! The food is always hot & delicious, they have an extensive list of drinks and specialty coffees to accompany your meal and the customer service is wonderful to top it all off. If you’re looking to just grab something to go they also have an assortment of tasty treats to take with you for a quick bite. We also thoroughly enjoy their Fiesta Friday’s - the street corn is to die for!!

The food was really good. Unique and delicious. Great tea and coffee as well. Also the place is really interesting lots to look at. Cool design features.
Our table was a bit wobbly and there was a single fly buzzing around us for much of our time there but the great food, cool atmosphere and wonderful service more than made up for it.
10/10 would recommend and go back.

We ended up stopping on our way to Kingston for a quick breakfast. What a gem of a place. Food was great. Coffee was amazing!

We had a great experience in this restaurant with the whole family. In close proximity to the visitors center and confederation park, this is a great stopping point before you continue with your day.

Great food and atmosphere. We love coming here when we’re in gan. Go when you’re not in a rush though as there is a wait and service is slow but the food is worth it. Order at counter then find a table.
