The Shortcut Gibsons

Great place to dine, roadside, tucked away in a quiet area beside a farm. Protected from the elements, so rain is no issue. Food was hearty and satisfying, with a great variety on the menu. As local as you can get.

Soooo pretty much everyone was ordering the Shortcut (some magical sausage on bun dealio) but we watched as others dined in happiness on those, and went the less traveled route and tried the basic breakfast sandwich and the veggie one.

We left happy too!

A help-yourself cooler for non-alcoholic bevvies is up front, which helps keep you cool while waiting for your food.

Lovely food, entertaining chef, and super chill spot on Henry Rd. A great spot to stop while road riding through from the ferry.

What an amazing space to sit and enjoy delicious food! We had breakfast at The Shortcut and were so pleased with the quality, portion size, and atmosphere. The chef was thoughtful and cranking out breakfast as quick as one person can. We had no issue waiting and enjoying the garden surrounding us. We stopped across the street for a delicious pie and were impressed with the farm stand full of homegrown fruit and veggies. Well worth the stop if you have time to rest and eat in this lovely space.

Just randomly picked up this wonderful spot on our trip to Sechelt. We ordered a Grampa Breakfast and a Shortcut Burger with Mushroom Mozza, which were fresh and delicious. You will pay for a great service with not only foods, but fresh air and the sound of a beautiful countryside. Wish I could give more star for the chef. He is very friendly and he loves his job.

Such a wonderful little food truck! They have a vegan version of pretty much everything on the menu. I absolutely loved the breakfast sandwich and hash! Would definitely recommend!

I stopped by this morning for a breakfast. I ordered a bacon benny and added mushrooms and a green side salad.

I always love trying a new place to eat, and this lovely little food truck did not disappoint. I had the Squash Toastini - squash puree on bread with a maple vinaigrette, fresh tomatoes, and a mint garnish (and for my non vegan pals, feta too!). It was fresh, light, flavourful and fun.

Can't wait to come back and try something else! Congrats on your opening.

Honestly some of the best food we’ve ever had. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in making people delicious food!!

Great food and lovely to sit by the farm and chill while it's being prepped. Highly recommend stopping off if you're in the area.

So friendly, great experience, love trying new dishes all the time! Really appreciate the great vegetarian and vegan options alongside smoked meats etc.

By far some of the best food I have EVER eaten. Got the prairie dog (breakfast wrap) and was blown away and how good it was. My mom had the breakfast sandwich w/ cashew cheese and it was to die for. Amazing little hidden gem on the coast

Amazing little stop on the side of the road. Breakfast sandwich was absolutely killer !! Tons of flavour made to order. Fresh ingredients bursting with flavour !! Highly recommend adding this to your visit on the Sunshine Coast

Fantastic stop for breakfast or brunch. Ryan makes everything fresh to order. Had the Father Patrick’s Scramble with mushrooms - so delicious! Will definitely go back again soon!!

Such fresh and incredible food. It’s so nice to have breakfast with some personality for a change instead of the basic bacon and eggs. Ryan’s a great chef who can somehow keep up a conversation when handling a bunch of orders. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the ingredients are local and so fresh. Highly recommend asking for the hot sauce

Amazing food and flavours! Finally made it over to the Sunshine Coast after a few years and this was our first stop. We'll be stopping on our way back to the ferry too.

We had the breakfast wrap with sausage and BC Butty with bacon but seems like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Great way to support local too!

Best vegan breakfast wrap I’ve ever had. My partner had the breakfast wrap with sausage. Simple, perfectly-balanced ingredients. We will be back!!
