Delicious Breakfast with a Few Minor Quibbles

I stopped by Symposium Cafe for breakfast and was generally impressed with the food and service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming decor.

The menu offered a wide variety of options. The dish was expertly prepared, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the bacon was crispy and delicious.

The service was friendly and attentive, with our server checking in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed.

The only reasons I didn't give a full 5 stars were:

- The coffee was a bit lukewarm, which was a disappointment.
I didn't quite like the way sausages were cooked.

Overall, however, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a tasty breakfast or brunch. Just be sure to ask for a coffee refill if needed.

Absolutely delightful experience at this restaurant! From the warm ambiance to the delectable breakfast options, our visit was thoroughly enjoyable. The food was delicious, especially the waffles that left us craving for more. The service was polite and attentive, making us feel right at home. The added touch of live music sometimes adds to the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend for a lovely family breakfast outing. Their cakes are also a treat for the taste buds. I would love to come back again. The only thing I would like to suggest is to not write the menu options as vegetarian if they have egg in it. It was disappointing to see the eggs on the avocado toast when it was mentioned as a vegetarian option. Otherwise the visit was a beautiful experience. Thanks for having us!

We had Gavin and his crew cater a birthday party for 20 people. Gavin was very meticulous and it was important for him to get the menu just right!! That was so much appreciated by me and my family. The food was delicious, hot and there were even leftovers. Honestly this experience took so much off my plate and made the party so much more enjoyable. I would have Georgetown Symposium cater again for me in a heartbeat!

Food is soooooooooo good... oh my God... we will be back soon. We came from Maple, Brampton and MISSISSAUGA . The service was excellent. Emma was our server.

Excellent food and service.
Special dietary requirements were met with great kindness and respect.
Will be coming here more often.

Update - I ordered 2 fries, regular and sweet potato. They ran out of sweet potato so when I reached for pickup the gentleman did not charge saying as we couldn't provide you with sweet potato fries this is complimentary.
That's what keeps you customer forever. Lovely gesture and great customer service ❤

It is a nice place with good ambience and tasty food. I had burgers and sweet potato fries and loved them. The family enjoyed the time. I noticed it is great for breakfast options which I will try next time. The host Jamie provided great service and was proactive in caring for what we need. I would highly recommend this place as an alternative to Kelsey's

Great place. Amazing vibe. Everything was great from location, food and service.. We reached around 5 pm so we were able to get the Happy hours menu. Portions are large sized.. Our server Britney ensured we were comforrtable and frequently checked if we needed anything. Overall a great experience and would surely visit again.

I came from Montreal, was looking for a good brunch area, decided to try this due to the reviews. Boy let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint.
I ordered the avocado toast with fruit, and my fiancé ordered the half flat bread vege pesto + Cesar salad.
It was delicious. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The whole restaurant is very welcoming. Lexus especially, 10/10 for knowledgeability & recommendations. Will be coming back again ☺

We decided to have a bridal shower at Symposium Georgetown May 13 2023 for our future daughter-in-law. We were glad to have it here as Gavin & Candice made the day so perfect. They sectioned off a part of the restaurant for the occasion for 40 people. They let us set up various props/balloons/games etc. Which helped out alot. The food was very hot and delicious (shout out to the chef) and plentiful. They are so accommodating especially those with food allergies, would highly recommend for any occasion. There is no better server than Candice, she made the day extra special, with her cheerful personality, and how fast we received our order to the table. It was very reasonable priced. Highly recommend to all family and friends. Looking forward to our next occasion.

Me and my girlfriend of 2 years went here for our 2 year anniversary and the experience was delightful. The food was good but the highlight of our day was being served by the lovely server Fiona. She was so kind and brought our food with such elegance and enthusiasm. She made us chuckle and smile the whole day, really just made the whole experience better. Would eat there again for sure 👍.

Abby was our server and she was phenomenal. Service was exceptional. Thank you :) we will be back again.

So impressed by Gavin and his staff. Hannah, our server, was friendly and attentive. Our food came quickly and my son even said “compliments to the chef!”

My girlfriend Francesca took me out for a late birthday dinner. We had lots of catching up to do. Our server Candice was great and so patient with us as we talked instead of ordering. Service was great and Gavin put on the Raptors game for us to watch which ended our dinner nicely with the win in OT. Thank you for great service and food.

Quiet place on a Sunday. We went for brunch and had Eggs Benedict and Cuban sandwich along with 2 coffees. Both the items were great overall. I’d come back to try other items on the menu next time.

The best of the best experience here at Symposium Restaurant Georgetown. Drinks, food, service and atmosphere was 10/10 and will be coming back. Jamie and Gavin went out of their way to make our time an amazing experience.

Great experience. When dining out, it is not just the good food that would enhance your experience but also the quality service of the servers. Renae & Lauri were amazing, their attentiveness & prompt service were exceptional.

Last night me and a friend went to symposium. We had lauren as our server. She was extremely attentive and was very caring with her service. There was a big party that was eating and she managed to juggle it all. I felt so bad after watching another one of her tables being extremely rude too her and following her up to the counter only to borderline yell at her. When we came in we were aware there was a big table and that we would have to wait and we had no issues. Lauren delt with everything so well even with that nasty customer that wouldn't leave her alone. As always i will return here every time as the staff and food is beautiful.

First time eating here. Very good customer service. Lauren was amazing and so helpful! The food was also rich in quality and had just the right portion sizes. Great experience overall!
