This was the best albergue we stayed at on the Camino. Not only is it paradise but they are the nicest people and above and beyond customer service too. I’d accidentally left my credit card at the front desk and didn’t realize until I was in the next town. They asked what my next nights accommodation was and had it sent there by car! If I could give them 10 stars I would! This place is outstanding! Stayed June 9th, 2022

This albergue is advertised as the best on the Camino. It is stunning placed on top of a mountain in a hill top village. It has a spa an enormous outdoor pool and the bar and dining room are like 5 star hotel plus excellent rooms recommend and all for £55 for two people with breakfast included.

What a joyful and relaxing place to end my day after hiking through Montes de León. I enjoyed a massage on site as well as the amazing views. So glad I stopped here before tackling Ponferrada on my Camino.

Brand new spectacular facility focused on being the Peregrino Oasis between Cruz de Ferro and Ponferrada. They have a pricey pool area, one of the few on the Camino. Might be just the ticket. They have a great hand laundry area with lots of clothesline. Single room was very spacious.

They are quite simply wonderful people running an outstanding albergue hotel. I had the perfect split journey at el Acebo and I always recommend here since I first stayed in 2015. The food was superb. In the afternoon the chef made me a delicious cheese omelette and the evening menu del dia was quite simply one of the best I've had ever, on the Camino and this was my 12th time. My legs and back were destroyed by the downhill so I took advantage of the massage services which were superb and I can't thank you enough. The next day there are tough downhills and I met some people who had done them in one go from Foncebadon. They looked quite young and were feeling it so at my age, splitting made more sense. As you walk down and out of el Acebo it is on your left. Do yourself a favour and say hello!

This place wrote the book on great service. The rooms are immaculate and the food is great. The prices are more than reasonable. I needed a taxi to Ponferrada so the boss gave me a ride! Can you believe it. Do not pass this place up.

Excellent place to rest on the camino. The view is amazing, the food and the facilities are great, staff is friendly and helpful. There is a pool (at the moment of our stay it is uncleaned, though) and plenty of space to sit down and relax. This is the first albergue of this class encountered on the camino,in my experience.

This place has great service and ammenties. To start with they have a beautiful pool, great views, cheap rooms for pelegrinos and hydrotherapy and ayurevedic therapy. Breakfast buffet was 4 euros. After walking for several day on the camino the ayurevedic massage was such a great way to recharge my batteries and work my very sore muscles. The osteopath there is alsovery helpful and fixed my knee was very well worth the money and meant I could resume my walking rhythm with no worries. The pool has a bar and entry fee is 2 euros but includes a drink and an awesome mountain view.
However Probably the best thing was the hospitality and the owners. I had forgotten my apple watch and phone charger and the owner drove down to the next town to give it me. Then, the company who was meant to pick up my bag from there had a mix up and the owners end up surprising me at my next albergue with my bag. Seriously very kind people. Can't thank you enough.
Muchisimas gracias,
Laura.

For a pilgrim this was heaven. €10 euro in what for all intents and purposes is a good standard hotel with a pool and views that you won't forget in a hurry. 6 bunks to a room, each with their own charge point, lockers and a washing machine down stairs.

Their ads along the Camino advertised "probably the best albergue on the Camino Frances," and I'd say they were probably right. Absolutely spotless, well-designed and modern place at 10eu for the night. Doesn't have the personality of the older, scrappier spots, but it's amazing to treat yourself. Also one of the best "pilgrims" dinners I've had on 3 caminos - they actually seemed to care about making food for you rather than serving the leftovers and soggy junk. No complaints for a restful and luxurious night at an extremely fair price.

As for albergues - one od the best on the way. Staff very nice and they dont want to get rid of You at 8am sharp - which is rare. Breakfast buffet really OK for Spanish standard.

We came only for menu peregrino. Even that kitchen was closed we could eat a shorter menu with chosen dishes. Service and food really good! Thanks for exception!

Best auberge on the Camino. I've stayed in worse 4 star hotels. Epic view. Amazing pool and for only €10!

Great rooms and the best pilgrims menu on the Camino. It may seem a bit pricey but well worth it!
