La Casa del Peregrino

This is a very nice hostel - more like a one or two-star hotel. Spacious room; excellent and soft bed; superb private bathroom. Quiet location. The restaurant downstairs has very good food. A great location to stop before the steep and difficult descent down the hill. Highly recommended!

Awesome location and views. Mike and staff are great and friendly. I disagree with other reviews and say this was one of the best stays on the Camino. Combo of room, ambiance ,staff and owner made it a place to rest and recommend to any pilgrim passing by.

The room was lovely, clean, and well maintained. The staff were super friendly. A peaceful night of rest on the Camino.

Also, the daily menu was delicious, not a cheap pilgrim menu. Great salad, chicken, shrimp omelette, potatoes, homemade dessert. And then a nice breakfast as well!

I had a coke and cake break here on my way to Ponferrada. Nothing to complain on the food there.

Good lunch spot after the difficult descent down from Cruz de Ferro. Associated with the modern Albergue on the other side of town.

Extremely good place to have Pilgrim menu. So far best menu we had and did not feel to be cheated. 100 % recommend

Un albergue 100% recomendable. Las habitaciones y baños limpios. El personal agradable y muy atentos. La comida muy buena. El entorno y las instalaciones externas muy cuidadas. Sin suda es un lugar para poder volver. Gracias por estos días y por cuidarnos tan bien.

No utilicé el hotel. Estuve tomando una excelente empanada casera de verduras que elaboran en la Casa del Peregrino. En la terraza me la tomé con un buen vino, con una excelente atención por parte de Braulio. Estuve el 11 de abril de 2024.

Nagyon kellemes hely. Nagy a választék, nagyon finomat ettünk, finom volt a kávé is, volt mandulatej, ami plusz pont. Az árfekvése nem túl alacsony, az ár/érték arány szerintem elbillen, ezért 4,5, de jól éreztük magunkat.

Siendo un bar de paso, además de una excelente atención al cliente nos ofreció un desayuno de buena calidad. Incluso nos preguntaron si preferíamos el chocolate con polvo comercial o cacao puro.

Después de la bajada a pie, el mejor rincón dónde parar! La empanada de verduras estuvo realmente buena!
