Bodega El Fabulista

We did the winery tour in English and the guide was great, very informative and kind. The facility itself is small but packed full of interesting history! As with most of Laguardia, there are tunnels below the building where they age the wine. We did our tasting in the tunnels, which was really fun. We had a 10 year old with us and she enjoyed the tour too!

If you like wine this place is a must to visit.
Excellent atmosphere and proffessional workers who gave an interesting history lesson about this place, the town and ofcourse about wine.

As I dont like wine normally I was very sceptical at first but I now understand that there is a big difference between different wine.

We did a guided tour and wine tasting of the El Fabulista winery in Laguardia. Our guide was Antonio. He took us through the whole process of how the wines are made in this historic winery in the old town. He showed us all the caves and tunnels, explained the different types of wood barrels and what they are for, how the wines are bottled and tested for quality, and so much more. In the end we got to taste 4 wines in the beautiful cellar and had some Spanish cheese and chorizo to accompany the experience.
We would highly recommend this tour with Antonio. Good value for money and a wonderful place to visit. We treated ourselves to 2 bottles from their shop in the end.

My husband and I absolutely loved this tour! We did about 3 wine tours around La Rioja and I think this one was my favorite one. Francesca the tour guide was just fabulous! Her vibrant energy just made the tour so enjoyable. This tour seemed more personal and I felt comfortable asking her all of my questions. I also enjoyed the wine and the tapas that came with the tasting. I loved that we were able to taste the wine underground in the caves. Book this tour you won’t regret it!

We were a group of 32 people and Antonio took us on a great journey at the bodega. It was very informative, curious and very enjoyable. Antonio was great and full of good stories to share. The wine is very special and unique, we all bought their wines. A visit to remember and to enjoy with a glass in the hand!

Great and different wine process it's interesting and very good to see how they do the same since a long time. Book the tour even with kids they will get at least some good grape juice

Bodega El Fabulista is only one still working winery in city of Laguardia. It's placed in a 17th century palace, in the heart of the medieval village of Laguardia. El Fabulista is one of the greatest and most spectacular underground wine cellars in Laguardia, as well as one of the few where wine is still made in the traditional manner using the carbonic maceration method.

The tour from Antonio was informative, entertaining and very unique. The wine was very good and I would highly recommend everyone visit.

Pareja visitando La Guardia y como no, de la mejor manera posible, con visita guiada a la bodega, muy interesante, muy correcta la guía y con cata de dos vinos, queso y chorizo, todo muy rico. También comimos en su rte. Llamado Villa Lucía situado a las afueras y nos encantó, por destacar el salmón, las pochas y los postres : hojaldre de crema y el cremoso de queso al revés fueron increíbles! Gracias por todo
