Particularly nice family run campsite. Great clean facilities with a lovely communal space and super friendly owner. Great spaces for both tents and camper vans. Nicely spread out spaces with great views onto the mountains.

Lovely campsite surrounded by peaks and only a short drive from a few start points of amazing mountain hikes. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming 😊 Shower/toilet facilities are best you can get camping, very modern and clean. Despite being next to a road you don’t really notice it. Would stay again.

Having come from a fabulous site we arrived at Cabaliros with high expectations and weren't disappointed. From the welcome we received (in good English), to the variety of well spaced pitches (many almost level on small terraces), better than acceptable and spotlessly clean toilet facilities, a small bar and great views: all make for a campsite we were delighted to stay at and disappointed to leave. The nearby town is an easy walk and many longer and more interesting walks surround the area. We'll definitely plan to return.

I think this is the most beautiful campsite in Cauterets! Nice spaces with a natural feeling and with some shade, Super friendly staff and easy access to the mountain sports in the area.

A lovely quiet campsite with amazing views, and modern and clean facilities.
And contradicting a few reviews here, the owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even offering us an extension lead to charge our electric car, and had lots of great advice on walks in the area.
This is the nicest campsite we stayed at in France. We’ll certain stay here again if we revisit the Pyrenees.

Simply the best campsite we have ever stayed in, especially for quiet, reflective and peaceful stays.
The facilities are spotless and a pleasure to use. The site is very well maintained and the hosts are welcoming, could not be more helpful.
The views are spectacular and there is so much to do especially if you love mountains.

Had a wonderful stay at this campsite 4 years ago. My husband had an accident and hurt his back. The owners were extremely helpful and booked us in to the local physio. Such a beautiful campsite and such friendly staff. One of the best campsites we have ever stayed at. We enjoyed it so much that we are returning again this year for another stay. A real delight to stumble across this campsite. The owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. They are more than happy to advise about walking and other attractions in the area (although climbing knowledge was a bit patchy as the local guide book has been out of print for some time). Pitches are spacious and there is free WiFi. There is a Carrefour Contact less than five minutes down the road (along with a petrol station), and its a 20-25 minute stroll into town along the disused railway track.

I'll definitely consider visiting here again.

What a lovely stay! Super friendly folks, spacious spots with nice view on the surrounding mountains & clean communal areas. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you're looking for a place to discover the Pyrenees.

Great campsite for the price. Surrounded by mountains with friendly owners who can speak English. The toilet block was modern and clean. Only here for couple of nights but would come again. Lac de Gaude is lovely, although busy.

Best campsite in the area. Facilities super clean, with newly renovated showers, toilets and washing facilities. At a little over €20 a night for a young family of four with a tent and car, it's unbeatable value.

Flat-eniugh pitches on terraced sites (as flat as can be expected in the pyrenees). 30 minutes walk into town off the road on the 'green way'. 5 mins walk off road to the supermarket (Carrefour mountain) which has everything you need.

Reception open until 8pm gives you plenty of time to travel down. Pitches recommended at the outer edges, especially at the top if you want peace and quiet early as they are further from the kids playground. That said, it was super-quiet by bedtime anyway.

Genuinely great place to stay with very pleasant and welcoming owners. We'll be back as soon as possible!

A lovely camping. I had a spot by a small stream under shady trees. Very well organised, helpful and careful management. There is a farm shop across the street: also very nice people, and 20min walk to the town which is full of outdoor and food shops. I booked 3 nights and stayed 10.

After visiting 5 nice campings across Europe, we didn’t think it could be much better - but it can. This is a wonderful camping with clean facilities, more than enough space and extremely helpful and welcoming hosts. I’m looking forward to my 2 days stay!

Simply one of the best campsites we have ever been to. The owners are the friendliest and most helpful we have come across in decades of camping. The site itself is a delight with great pitches and free wifi. Cauterets is an excellent base with free shuttle buses taking you from outside the site into town. Can't think of another Pyrenean town that is a base for so many varied local walks, nice shops and free transport. Walks from Pont D'Espagne are excellent. Cannot rate the area and the site highly enough.

The best camp ground with access to the best areas of the Pyrenees.
The owners are both passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of this beautiful area.
Stay here and you won't be disappointed.
