What a fabulous thing to do on a very hot August day. The staff are friendly and our guide on the boat very amusing. Good value for money and lots of opportunities to take photos.

Loved this 50 min boat trip on the Dordogne. French commentary for the locals and an English audio guide for tourists. Well worth the trip.

Excellent and reasonably priced boat tour on the Dordogne. Staff were pleasant and friendly. An audioguide in English was offered at minimal cost and this was informative. The tour lasts about 55 minutes and you get some great shots of La Roque Gageac if you sit on the right hand side of the boat. The ticket office is by the river on the main carpark, the boats left every hour but they may take a longer break over lunch (our tour at 1:30 didn't seem to have been immediately preceded by one, but our boat went straight out again at 2:30 when we returned). There are public toilets just a few yards to the left of the ticket office which are free to use. If you go down the slope to the boats you get nicer photos of the village and there's a convenient height wall to sit on (we sat and had our lunch), thought there are picnic tables just above. We paid 3euros for 4 hours on the carpark.

Beautiful trip down the river. Wish I'd understood more French as the guide seemed much more engaging than the prerecorded tape, but a lovely couple of hours

Excellent place to be for holidays. Must do a boat ride that'd give you a view of centuries old trade route highways vision.

Informative one hour boat trip with the crew taking time to stop and point out all the interesting views. Great way to see the village with the rock face in the background. Audio guide provided in many languages.

A wonderful boat trip along the beautiful Dordogne river. Starting in the gorgeous village of la Roque Gageac it takes you past at least 3 chateaux and picturesque scenery and wildlife. Along with a very knowledgeable commentary which is also available taped in several different languages. Telling the history of the area and of the Gabares - boats used to transport goods up and down the river. Lovely way to wile away an hour or so. I would highly recommend it as a trip to be taken.

The hour long boat trip is informative and a wonderful place to take photos from. An English translation was provided through a little electronic device with headsets. They have a cover that is extended over the boat if it rains.

Pretty, peaceful, informative. I went with a group so I don't know the exact price, but the teenagers (36 of them) enjoyed it and the four adults did, too.
