Les Courtines

This place has amazing salads and boards (and desserts look good, too). The chef made up a salad specially for us even though it wasn’t currently on the menu. Delightful view adds to the experience. Also, the very clean and new bathroom is great, too.

Here in the garden of Les Courtines you can relax in the shade and have a bite to eat. Tartines are the speciality and go well with wine or beer. The atmosphere is relaxed and elegant and the service is very quick.

Definitely the best location in La Roque-Gageac! Simple and great food in a lovely location.

The menu is a welcome change from the (no doubt good but predictable) other local eateries. Lovely garden with views on the river. A fairly sophisticated but relaxed feel. Lovely, refreshing food and excellent, friendly service. And to cap it all - a lovely, scrupulously clean, toilet :)

Stumbled across this for a drink and decided to stay for lunch.

Delightful meals and coffee, went 3 times during our stay. Staff lovely, very helpful and attentive. Sun canopies over outside tables for meals and relaxing lounge seating areas in garden with canopies for coffee or drinks

We stayed in one of the apartments for 4 nights and ate at the lovely restaurant twice. Both the rooms and food were wonderful. We would definitely go again and our children thought it was the highlight of our trip.

This was a wonderful place that our family met up at to have lunch. The food was super fresh and delicious and the balsamic vinegar sauce on the salad was the best that we ever have had. It has a lovely outdoor seating area, and plenty of space to enjoy the area.

This is a great place to eat in La Roque-Gajeac. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which can be hard to find in a touristy spot. The prices are reasonable, and the food is good. It's really lovely to sit in the garden and watch the river.

Perfect fresh meal for our family in a very hospitable environment in a lovely garden overlooking the Dordogne river. Our young children had the BEST time playing with the dog. And then they slept like babies until 9 this morning. Highly recommended for all ages.

The best strawberry ice cream I've ever tasted.
I had coffee, and ice cream late morning, after walking along the high path of La Rocque-Gageac. It's a beautiful spot to watch the world go by on foot, by road, and along the river.
The host, and his dog, were very friendly. The toilet was exceptionally clean.
I might stay the night next time I visit.

The ambiance is quaint and friendly, like having dinner in your grandmother’s garden. My children enjoyed playing in the grass with Paloma the border collie. The food is simple (cheese, charcuterie, tartines) but well done and tasty. If you want casual, light fare for a reasonable price in a welcoming environment, look no further than Les Courtines!

You can book only for the first service and after you can just go and see if a table is available. Beautiful terrace/garden. The service is very efficient. The menu is simple, toast or plancha. We took two different toasts (avocado and zucchini) and both were very tasty + the café gourmand to finish the meal. Vegetarian options.

Nous sommes venus en couple avec 1chien, 1 bb et 1 enfant de 7 ans . Très bien reçu tout était prévu à notre arrivée. Personnel très agréable, nous étions venu en 2023 et avions déjà adoré ce restaurant, nous sommes revenu en 2024 et tout est toujours superbe. Les tartines très bonnes et copieuses ravivent les papilles des grands et des petits. Indy le chien du propriétaire, très sympa permet aux plus jeunes de s’amuser pendant le repas.
Cadre très beau, le défilé de montgolfières en début de soirée donne un côté féerique au repas. . merci beaucoup pour ce très bon moment.
