Unmissable if in the area. Well kept courtyard (a cemetery in the Middle Ages) and sculptural columns. Now converted into an art space with a crafts shop.

Very nice courtyard with a cafe. I recommend you go look at the pottery expo as well as the "atelier" next to it! They have a "free pottery box" of pots they didn't think about selling, so that is fun (bowl in the picture was f r e e )

Amazing history here, the courtyard school is a must see. Look closely at the carvings on the beams.

Beautiful and relaxed place to see with a lot of history. It is an old burial place that is now a great place to go and have lunch. We found it by accident and I'm so glad we did.

Beautiful square that was used as 'ossuaire' (bones storage) and art school. It has been renewed after the school left, opening a gallery, adding some art shops and a café. A must see in Rouen!

The reason for this place’s existence is not very cheery - it was created as a cemetery for the big number of deceased after a plague in the 14th century. But it now is a quiet, well-preserved building with a lovely courtyard, hosting a small gallery and a pottery studio as well as a coffee shop with wonderful cakes 😊

When I was a kid we use to go at the Aitre Saint Maclou and it was gloomy and one could feel the heavy past of the place. The renovations surprised me but definitely did well in reconverting the space while keeping its essence.
