Dame Cakes

The line moved pretty fast so we were able to get in and out as quickly as we needed. More to the point, the pastries were out of this world delicious! I recommend the cake a’la violette. The icing was nice, the cake very good, the cream supplied to pour over was amazing, but the absolute best was the flavor bomb of blackcurrant in the center.
They even had gluten-free pastries for my husband.

We only got some cakes on the way, and they were very special and tasty. They were not too sweet like what you sometimes get. Just right in sweetness. The building and atmosphere are very cozy. If we had more time, we would surely have had a tea there as well.

Excellent ambiance, friendly waitress. There is a little back yard and it was so beautiful there! Yea was good, salads were tasty and fresh. Gazpacho was refreshing. The shrimp on the salad were a bit tasteless.

Our visit to Dame Cakes café in Rouen was nothing short of spectacular, especially when it came to their pastries and tea. She was not only helpful with the menu but also spoke amazing English, which was incredibly accommodating for us as tourists. Laurie went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience, embodying the warmth and hospitality that makes a place memorable. The pastries and sweets we indulged in were divine, perfectly complemented by the excellent tea selection. Dame Cakes is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality treats in a welcoming atmosphere.

A delightful place for afternoon tea. The hot chocolate is super tasty. We sat in the back garden. It was a very relaxed atmosphere.

Absolutely loved it! Went with my sister for a cup of nice tea and cake and both were delightful ! The list of teas is huge, tastes lovely, and their cakes are divine! Had the strawberry and rhubarb meringue pie, yum ! I would definitely go back !

Absolutely adorable delicious tea house. Looks small on the outside but they have an inner courtyard. They have a fantastic lunch deal the food was delicious. Fantastic tea options.

This is a staple of any trip to Rouen, you can enjoy comforting, fine cakes and teas or an assortment of cheeses and hams either in the lovely tea rooms inside or in the back yard, surrounded by the sounds of the nearby cathedral bells and resident sparrows. Service is efficient and nice. It is in one of the most ancient parts of town. Really, give it a go!

Nice tea and cakes but I was particularly impressed that the kid's hot chocolate was warm and not hot so they wouldn't burn their tongue and could drink it straight away.

One of these very special places where you find good food and delicious cakes in a wonderful atmosphere. Located in a beautiful old house, comfortable and calm. They also sell the tea and their bakery products.
