Brasserie Paul

A fantastic restaurant where you can formidable eat for a reasonable price.
They have some local choices that I will recommend.

We had lunch on the terrace here on a nice Sunday afternoon in May. It’s definitely a well located restaurant in the center of Rouen, with an amazing view of the cathedral. I went for the meal of the day, which is 13.90€ and was veal with a thyme sauce and side. They had cauliflower flan as the default side but exchanging it with pommes frites was not a problem at all. The meal arrived quickly and the veal was tender and went really well with the sauce. The fries were home-made and delicious. Overall a great meal for a very reasonable price considering the quality and location! They also have a solid selection of drinks and the cider I had was amazing, very crisp and refreshing. Despite looking a bit like a tourist trap, this is a very good restaurant and they must be doing something right for being there for such a long time (since 1898 to be precise).

On a Sunday in Rouen this restaurant is rare in that it is open to past 15:00 hrs, it's popular with a French clientele, choice selection of main dishes at Euro 14 for poulet and 23 for entrecot steak including frites with salad or vegetables. It's decor is lovely, calm well presented style. Vin d'Pays tres drinkable, attentive service at all time. Located opposite Cathedral.

I was in Rouen for the night and I have been recommended to go to Brasserie Paul, which was a great advise.
Reservation by phone, very efficient. Food excellent (I loved saucisses and vegetables; French fries excellent and mousse au chocolat perfect). The service was also first class. We will be back next time we are in town.

Our go to in Rouen, yes, it isn't the best food in Rouen, but most of the waiters are very kind. Tip, try the desert of the day, it varies, but drinking your favorite coffee /tea, it's very enjoyable.

So glad i found this place. The service was great, efficient and friendly...the food lovely and the best Steak Tartare I've ever had. Would def come back again and i came both nights of my stay in Rouen.

Good food. You get treated accordingly to how crowded it is, but once you are seated, the waiter os nice and funny. The poulet with the sauce is very good. Desserts are awesome. We had a rose wine and we had a delightful time on sunday.

Lovely traditional brasserie with a varied menu to suit all tastes. We ate here two nights running during a short break in Rouen. The restaurant is in a great location right by the cathedral. Service was impeccable. food delicious.

I had just arrived in Rouen on a Friday evening when I was looking for a late dinner. Brasserie Paul was the perfect introduction to the city. The food was excellent and extra special, both in presentation and flavours. The waiters are very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Fantastic restaurant next to the cathedral. The service was impeccable! The menu was amazing for the price. If you like steak tartare, I highly recommend the style Normande! Delicious!!

Just had a coffee on the terrace. But considering the view and position, it was REALLY reasonably priced.

Lovely place, nice decoration, friendly staff and amazing food. Plat du jour (duck in pepper sauce with gratin dauphinois) was so tasty, good quality and not at all expensive. I highly recommend this place.
