This place was recommended by one of the locals, glad they did. The food and wine were absolutely amazing, great service, waitress spoke good English and was a great help in explaining the menu. Chicken supreme was fantastic, trout and shrimp starter, oysters, scallops. Highly recommend this place will visit again if in area.

Have now been for a second time Jun 24 and didn't disappoint. Great seasonal menu. Please go you will love it.

Wonderful place, staff extremely friendly and helpful, ambient surroundings and the food was excellent, also the wine machine for individual glass of wine was state of the art, we throughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely evening..

A real lucky find, ancient building modernised and now a lovely bar / restaurant, run by the owner and family, local produce, fantastic food, service and hospitality, uses the pedestrian centre of this ancient village, a must visit. So lucky to find this

We arrived over 45 mins late due to delayed flight, but they waited for is, even though it was past their closing time, service was exceptional, 6 of us had the plat and 3 off the menu, we all enjoyed our food, very well presented and nothing was too much trouble, one of the nicest meals in terms of all round taste, presentation and atmosphere. Merci beaucoup.

A new venture for our old favourites from L'Ancinne Gare, was great at lunch (fish sharing platter) and in evening. Welcone and service could not be bettered

Started with the Christmas cocktail.. Wow..
Then the fish on a bed of cabbage. Sounds dull, was far from dull.. Quite delicious..
Girls has puddings but. I had cheese and finished the wine..

Well, just delightful..

What a fabulous restaurant this is. The staff are very, very friendly. And their chef should be canonised. The food is wonderful. On top of that, Issigeac is a really beautiful village.

Spending just a few days in this lovely village we were lucky enough to find Le Bouchon Médiéval open on a Monday lunchtime in October ! The meal was delicious and 'les serveuses' friendly and welcoming - as indeed we found everywhere we went in Issigeac. Highly recommend.

Had lunch there on our way home after shopping in Bergerac. I liked their honesty in stating that there was a wait of 25 minutes for a la carte items. This made the meal a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. When the dishes arrived they were excellent in taste and generous in amounts. The glass of wine was more than ample for our two courses. The price seemed about right to us.
Hope to be back.

A lovely little restaurant in the middle of the beautiful medieval small town of Issigeac only a few kms from Bergerac. Service is excellent and the food is of great quality French cuisine at a reasonable price. It’s a popular place for both locals and visitors so best to book (online or by phone) first. High chairs are available for smaller visitors. Highly recommended.

The food is the best we've eaten in the Périgord. The service is flawless. Everything is clean, good quality and well chosen. From the wine glasses and olives until the toilet. The wine and summer cocktail are really good as well. They deserve this 5 stars without a doubt. Way to go!

Great food friendly service and they were able to prepare a vegetarian plate for my wife even though there was no options on the menu that was not a salad or cheese plate.

Great wine list. A bit on the pricey side but food is excellent. A bit heavy on the butter, but then again, this is south west France :-) Staff are very friendly and the service is not rushed so be prepared to wait a bit to get started. It’s normal around these parts. Foie gras to start and fish main, both, amazing dishes with intense flavours. Vegetarian plate was also well done and tasty.

Happily come here again.
