Carnforth Bookshop

Love this fantastic show on Carnforth High Street. Came away with an Enid Blyton Famous five book and had to resist the temptation of a few more. If you love bookshops, this is a must visit. The owner is so friendly and welcoming we will most definitely be back.

Fantastic bookshop with thousands of seconds hand books upstairs. Downstairs are new books, stationery games etc. Love it!

A lovely shop with other items available from a good selection of books ,so it's worth popping in the two ladies working on the day we visited , you couldn't fault really helpful and friendly smiling just a lovely place to call into.

A three story building filled with every type of book you could wish for, both ne and used . Plus many rare editions. Besides that , on the ground floor there are new books covering all topics, both fact, fictional and more. Throughout, there are fancy goods, decorations, Birthday cards and too many items to mention individually.
The business has been a stalwart Carnforth town centre popular fixture for more years that l can remember and not to be missed when visiting.

I love this bookshop! It has a lovely calm, relaxed atmosphere,and an absolutely brilliant selection of books to choose from. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, but leave you to browse undisturbed if that's what you want.
There is also an excellent selection of greeting cards , gifts, artists materials and lots of other things.

Lovely bookshop. Small but nice selection of new books, local interest books, stationery and artist supplies, with a massive well organised selection of used books on 1st and 2nd floors.

Added this place to the secondhand bookshops I visit every year, and it now is a must go place. It has so many levels of stairs, and little sections with wall to ceiling books of everything you could ever wish for. I picked up two wonderful commentaries on Romans for just £8.50! You could spend weeks in here and enjoy every minute of it.

A must visit if you're in the area. Huge selection of books old and new along with gifts for the whole family over 3 floors. Very friendly and welcoming staff too.

I visited the shop today for the first time in almost thirty years.
Still as good as it was in the 1980s and '90s.
A breathtaking range of books, and friendly, helpful staff.

Flipping loved this place, the books are organised so that you can find what you want... and if not, staff are on hand to help you out. I also got to meet a local and their dog, Shirlock Bones ❤
If this wasn't so far away from home then I would be there weekly

Had a lovely visit here and what a great bookshop with new books, crafts, cards and stuff on the ground floor. But the real joy is the adventure up various staircases in and out of rooms fool of every type of second hand book available. Loved the experience and the prices. Will be back.

Love Carnforth Bookshop. The staff are so friendly and happy to help. Not enough space here to describe everything. On the ground floor there's a new books section and an area with gifts, cards, stationery, crafts, childrens toys, incense, fluffy, cuddly things, and lots more. The rest of the shop is secondhand books, apparently 100,000 and I can believe it. Beware booklovers, you'll be captive here for quite a while.

Fabulous local book shop, I've been going there for more than 30 years! Lovely friendly enthusiastic staff, good selection of new books and maps, gift-ware, and upstairs is a treasure trove of second hand books. Much of my son's childhood was spent here, him in the children's section and me wandering between departments. A real book-lovers heaven!

Lovely little book shop on the ground floor the real attraction of this shop are the 2 floors of second hand books above.

This is an excellent bookshop,providing a one stop for new books, maps, cards, stationary, gifts and more. However the two upper floors are a real tour de force for the second hand book buyer. Browsing the huge labrinthine collection will keep you engaged for hours.

I plan to do all my gift shopping here this year. There is literally something for everyone, from unique vintage books and maps, new children's and adult books, stationery, toys and beautiful objects. Wrap and cards too. Great place to spend time browsing and lovely helpful staff.

One of the best bookshops I've been to. They have 14 rooms full of used books. If you want latest titles they are available on the ground floor. The price for used books are very reasonable. All books gave price written in pencil inside the cover. Books are in very good condition. They also have rare books and first editions available. Staff very friendly and helpful. I will be back to find more hidden gems
