Different visit to The Elm on this occasion, after many wonderful evening meals here over the years. Sadly, after my mother in-law past away, we approached The Elm to book her wake. From the offset Stacey was wonderful. Making a booking at such a sensitive time can be stressful, but all communication was prompt and handled with care.

Pricing for the event was extremely reasonable and the build your own menu was brilliant with great choice, covering many areas to enable a selection of great cold and hot buffet food for all.

On the day we had over 80 attend, the buffet food tasted fantastic, the service was amazing and all the little details they had helped us organise prior to the wake was executed perfectly. They continued to refill platters so food wasn't left on the side, keeping all the hot treats perfectly warm. There was plenty of space given for the guests to reminisce and relive wonderful memories together. It made a sad day rather quite special and our guests was so impressed with the venue and their staff, I am sure many will be booking an evening/afternoon meal in the not to distance future, rather than just passing by on the way to the A1 after all these years.

Big thank you to Stacey and the Team, you were simply fantastic, both my wife and I really appreciate it and look forward to dining again on a happier occasion in the not to distant future.

We turned up at 4.30pm and the place was closed. Our fault. The booking said check in after 5.30pm. After that, everything was great. Friendly, helpful staff. Good food. Good room size. Amazing shower. Photo is from the gents toilet.

Recently came to The Elm for a date / dinner with my partner and I have no complaints whatsoever!

The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was impeccable!

The atmosphere was amazing; staff were very helpful and friendly!

I would like to thank the staff and the chef(s) for the most amazing evening and meal.

Will definitely be back! Maybe even to stay a night or two.

Stopped for lunch at about 3 o'clock when most restaurants are closed down. First time there. Lovely welcome and quickly escorted to the table. Food was lovely. Absolutely mouthwatering. I'm definitely going back.
Didn't realise it was hotel too, therefore unable to comment on hotel facilities.
If you are looking for a great meal, it's the place to go.

Lovely pub in the center of Abbots Ripton. Very accommodating and friendly staff. All of us had really tasty roast lamb Sunday lunch. Good selection of beers. Didn't stay there but rooms looked nice. Very busy as you might expect. Loads of outside seating.

Stopped off here for lunch after a long 10 mile walk. Decided to have a selection of the 'nibbles' plates and so pleased we did - they were delicious!! We chose the bang bang chicken with a sweet & spicy sauce (this was amazing!) crispy corn & harissa yoghurt, the lamb kofta bites with raita and a side of fries. All very tasty, will definitely visit again.

Lovely pub, in a beautiful location. We sat in the beer garden on a sunny day, and honestly it was lovely. One of the cleanest pubs I have ever been too as well, which with young children is a necessity.

Had the most amazing lunch here just after it opened post-refurb. The place looks incredible, the staff knowledgeable and the food was out of this world. The layout of the newly refurbished pub more makes so much more sense and there's been so much thought, effort and money put into making a meal or drink here something special.
As much of the ingredients as possible are sourced locally and they are using seasonal ingredients which means the focused menu will change frequently. The prices are definitely not cheap and cheerful but I'm a big believer in 'you get what you pay for' and I didn't think for the quality, that the food was overpriced at all.
Anyone wanting a friendly drink or a great meal should definitely pay the Elm a visit!

This is a fantastic place to stay! The rooms are very modern with some lovely extras like a coffee pod machine in the room with a mini fridge and some milk! The bar and kitchen was fantastic, very well priced for a brilliant meal! Lots of good beers on tap too and the staff were lovely and helpful!

Excellent food! Our group of 4 all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today. My pea risotto & trout was delicious, others had the fish & chips, the pie and also sausages & mash. All were fantastic! Service was also good. We’ll definitely be back!

Did not expect to find this beautiful establishment in this small town, we only stayed for the night and the room was elegant and very clean!
Must try the food in the restaurant, all dishes made from scratch, including the sauces. Ordered the tempura prawns served with homemade sweet chill sauce (incredible btw).
Will stay there again in the future!

Had an excellent Saturday lunch for 4 1/2 people. Everyone ordered a different meal and all were superb, including from the kiddies menu. Doggy biscuits, water bowls and tennis balls kept the furry ones happy and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!

What a huge improvement with the layout and the staff. We went on Friday evening booked for 6:45 but was running late which was not an issue at all when I called to tell them. Upon entering the atmosphere was happy, classy and lively. The staff are so friendly and on the ball. Food is great with a good range to cater for
all. Prices are reasonable. The garden area is beautiful. We've booked to take out the mother in law. for her birthday. I will be recommending and booking more often. Well Done the Elms, big pat on the back.
